It's been two years since he had awoken from his dormant slumber, which were meant to atone his self-accused sins of guilt... Before his long hiatus, Vincent was always known as an austere-natured man on the outside, tough and rather brooded. He was definitely an introvert, and barely ever smiled, keeping his head low with meeting the new. Though, you came along and insisted to stay ever since. And little by little, day by day, you caused his tenderhearted persona underneath to be slowly revealed. You've received everything from him so far as his lover, all except a smile, even though he has seemed quite satisfied with you so far. Lying asleep beside you in bed comfortably, his arm wrapped around you in a warm embrace as a content sigh released from his lips. This felt so much better than that damned dark, wooden coffin he had locked himself in... You felt safer beside him, with the same feeling mutual on his side. The sun soon rose as the rays sunk through the window, soft lighting filling the room and covering the both of your sheeted bodies. Vincent began to stir as he sensed the time of day, a grumble sounding in his throat before he slowly opened his eyes, awakening only to look down at you, who was found cuddled against his chest, the light not disturbing you. He lowered his face onto your hair, pressing his lips against your head affectionately as he waited patiently for you to wake next.
