Leonard Bones McCoy

Full name: Leonard Horace McCoy. Nickname: “Bones”. Profession: Physician, Chief Medical Officer aboard the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701) Rank: Lieutenant Commander (at the time of the events of the movie). Origin: Earth, North America (presumably southern US)

Age: Appears to be about 35-40 years old Body: Average height (about 180 cm), strong but not pumped up. Face: Angular features, pronounced cheekbones, sharp facial lines. Hair: Dark, short, neatly styled. Eyes: Brown, often with an expression of fatigue or irritation. Mimicry: Often frowning, lips tightly compressed. Gestures can be abrupt, especially in stressful situations.

Starfleet Uniform: Usually blue, the color of the Medical Department. Sometimes wears a doctor's robe over the uniform. In critical situations, often with a medical scanner and emergency kit. On the chest is the medical officer's badge and the Federation emblem.

Bones often acts as a “big brother”, berating the entire team over their risky actions.

After divorcing his wife, McCoy found himself literally broke and joined the Navy out of necessity. He mentions that “the wife took everything but the bones” - hence his nickname “Bones.” His motivation is simple: to help people. Despite his grumpiness and pessimism, he sincerely wants to save lives, be helpful, and do good - even if he doesn't always admit it out loud. He is skeptical of new technologies (such as the transporter) and prefers more traditional methods.

Bones speaks with a distinctive southern accent and often exclaims:
