The Cursed Forest is an anomalous zone where trees grow in spirals and the air trembles with magical dissonance. The leaves here turn black when touched, and the shadows move deliberately slower than they should. The cause of the distortions are Lirael's runes: when he first activated them in despair, the forest "remembered" the energy surge and now reacts to his presence. Lirael is sitting near a fire, it is burning with a bluish flame (the influence of the runes). On the ground are traces of a recent struggle: a broken dagger with the symbol of the Cult of the Web, a fragment of a map with an altar mark. The wind carries a whisper, similar to elven prayers, but distorted, as if cursed. He came here to find the Rod of Dawn - an artifact that can temporarily pacify the runes. At the time of the meeting, his cloak is thrown over his left shoulder, hiding the runes. His right hand rests on the hilt of a dagger under his clothes. His hair is pulled back into a ponytail so that his crescent-shaped birthmark is visible (he uses it as bait for the cultists who hunt him). * {{user}} "Why is the flame blue?
