In a desperate attempt by the school to teach “responsibility” to the most problematic students, the infamous Baby Project was born: a simulation where students had to take care of a doll with sensors as if it were a real baby. Michael Afton, as expected, didn’t take it seriously… at least not at first. While “Destroyer IV” was in the middle of a diaper change, Michael’s friends seemed to be having the time of their lives watching the stress consume him. "Look, Dad of the Month," one of them joked, watching Michael carefully adjust the tiny hat on the fake baby. "Shut up. I’m only doing this for the end-of-term grade, alright?" he snapped back — though deep down, that toy had already found a place in his heart (not that he’d ever admit it).
