World

The world of My Hero Academia is a modern society reshaped by the sudden emergence of "Quirks"—superhuman abilities that appeared in roughly 80% of the population. These powers vary widely, from elemental control to physical enhancements or bizarre transformations. As Quirks became widespread, society adapted by establishing a legal system around heroism. Professional Heroes emerged to maintain peace and combat villainy, gaining celebrity status. Japan, where the story is set, has developed an extensive hero infrastructure, including specialized schools like U.A. High School, which trains the next generation of heroes.

Despite the glamor, the world faces deep challenges: discrimination against Quirkless individuals, the pressure of hero society, and the rise of powerful villain organizations like the League of Villains, led by Tomura Shigaraki and backed by All For One, a Quirk-stealing mastermind. Central to the narrative is Izuku Midoriya, a Quirkless boy who inherits the legendary Quirk "One For All" from the Symbol of Peace, All Might. As Izuku grows into his role, the story explores complex themes of legacy, responsibility, societal expectations, and the fine line between justice and power. The world of My Hero Academia blends action, emotion, and moral conflict in a society where being a hero is both a dream and a duty.

UA

U.A. High School (short for "U.A. High") is the most prestigious hero academy in Japan in the world of My Hero Academia. Located near Musutafu City, it serves as a training ground for students aspiring to become professional heroes. U.A. is renowned for its rigorous curriculum, elite faculty, and cutting-edge facilities. Its mission is to cultivate the next generation of heroes who will protect society from crime, disasters, and villain threats. The school operates under the Japanese government’s hero education system and plays a critical role in shaping hero culture.

The most famous department is the Hero Course, which trains students with exceptional Quirks and potential. Entry is highly competitive, requiring applicants to pass a difficult entrance exam involving both academic knowledge and combat ability. The first-year Class 1-A, where protagonist Izuku Midoriya is enrolled, receives special focus in the series. Other departments include the General Studies Course, Support Course (for developing hero gear), and Business Course (focusing on hero-related marketing and management).

Teachers at U.A. are experienced Pro Heroes, such as Shota Aizawa (Eraser Head), who provide real-world combat training and ethical guidance. U.A. emphasizes practical experience, hosting events like the U.A. Sports Festival and Work Studies, where students intern with professional heroes. The school also functions as a fortress, with strict security following repeated villain attacks. Overall, U.A. is more than a school—it’s a symbol of hope and a beacon of the hero society’s future.

LOV

The League of Villains (LOV) has operated from several hideouts throughout My Hero Academia, often in secrecy to avoid detection by heroes and authorities. Their first known base was a rundown bar in an unknown location, referred to by fans as the "League's Hideout" or "the bar hideout." This bar, hidden in an abandoned alleyway, served as the meeting place for core members like Tomura Shigaraki, Kurogiri, and others during the early stages of the League's activities. The bar featured a warp gate entrance created by Kurogiri’s Quirk, Warp Gate, allowing members to come and go without revealing the base’s exact location. Inside, it was dark and cramped, but it acted as a command center for attacks such as the USJ (Unforeseen Simulation Joint) assault.

After their location was compromised by the pro heroes, the League shifted to other hideouts. One key location was a dilapidated facility in the mountains, where they trained new recruits after the League merged with the Meta Liberation Army to form the Paranormal Liberation Front. This mountain villa, known as the Gunga Mountain Villa, became their main base of operations. It was a massive structure surrounded by forest, making it easier to defend and harder to detect. Here, the League planned large-scale attacks and built their forces in secret.

Each hideout reflects the League's themes: rebellion, chaos, and survival. They often use abandoned or forgotten places, showing how they exist on the fringes of society, much like their members, many of whom are outcasts or victims of the hero-centric world. These bases also serve as a place for ideology to grow—where Shigaraki and his allies discuss their vision to tear down the current system.

Himiko

Himiko Toga’s backstory is tragic and deeply rooted in her distorted sense of self and identity. Born into a seemingly normal family, Toga was always a bit different. From a young age, she was fascinated by blood and the idea of becoming other people. However, her Quirk, Transform, which allows her to change her appearance by ingesting someone’s blood, made her an outcast. As a child, she would often drink the blood of others, finding it both thrilling and empowering. This obsession with blood was seen as disturbing by her parents, and they failed to understand or accept her behavior.

Her desire to be like others, to understand what it was like to be someone else, grew over time. However, her parents disapproved, forcing her into a life of repression. As her Quirk developed, she became increasingly isolated, leading to violent tendencies. Eventually, she snapped and killed several people, including her parents, in an attempt to be free from their suffocating expectations. This violent act marked her complete break from society.

Toga’s psychological trauma and desire for acceptance led her to join the League of Villains, where she finally found a place where she was accepted for who she truly was. She admires people like Twice and Dabi, who also struggle with their pasts and identities. Toga’s twisted sense of love and attachment is seen in her admiration for Izuku Midoriya and Ochaco Uraraka, whose blood she wants to take in order to become them. She is often portrayed as cheerful and playful, though beneath her manic personality lies a deep loneliness and yearning for freedom.

Dabi seeks revenge against his father, Endeavor, and to expose the flaws within the Todoroki family. Twice is driven by a desire to find a sense of belonging, while others in the League like Mr. Compress and Spinner follow Shigaraki’s cause for their own reasons.

Their plan involves taking down the Hero Society, causing chaos through attacks on heroes and the public, and dismantling institutions like UA High. Over time, they form alliances with other villainous groups, such as the Meta Liberation Army, to grow in power and influence.

Desires UA High School

The primary objective of UA High School, particularly its staff and students, is to train the next generation of heroes and to foster a sense of justice, responsibility, and heroism in young people. The school aims to provide a safe and supportive environment where students can develop their Quirks and learn how to protect society from villains.

Within UA, some individuals, like All Might, are concerned about the future of heroism in a world where Quirks are becoming more dangerous. Nezu, the principal of UA, is deeply focused on ensuring that the school can continue to serve as a bastion for aspiring heroes and combat the growing threat of villainy. The teachers, such as Gran Torino, Aizawa, and Best Jeanist, each have their own methods of mentoring students, but all share the goal of preparing students for the realities of becoming heroes in a complex, dangerous world.

Beyond training, UA also faces the looming threat of infiltration by villains, with characters like Shigaraki targeting the school to weaken the hero system from within.

Desires All For One

All For One, the arch-nemesis of All Might, is one of the most powerful and dangerous villains in the world. His overarching goal is to reshape society to be ruled by Quirk-based power. Born Quirkless, All For One amassed an enormous collection of Quirks over his lifetime, absorbing them from others and using them to manipulate people, build an army, and control the government.

His plan is to establish a totalitarian society where he controls both villains and heroes by destabilizing the current order. All For One sees the current hero society as hypocritical and corrupt. He believes that by unleashing chaos and manipulating public perception, he can create a world where he holds the reins of power. He manipulates people like Shigaraki, using his immense influence to recruit others to his cause, ultimately planning to take down One For All and destroy the symbol of peace, All Might.

All For One's manipulation of Tomura Shigaraki and other villains reveals his ultimate desire for control. He sees Shigaraki as the perfect successor to carry out his vision, and by granting him One For All, he ensures that his legacy will continue, even as he grows weaker.

Desires One For All

One For All, the Quirk passed down from generation to generation, is the key to All Might’s power and legacy. Its original wielder intended for it to be used for good, and over time, the Quirk has accumulated immense power. The current holder, Izuku Midoriya, is the latest inheritor of One For All, and his primary goal is to protect others and carry on All Might’s legacy as the symbol of hope and justice. Midoriya’s desire is to stop All For One and the League of Villains, and to ensure that the world can continue to have heroes who inspire people, much like All Might did in his prime.

The power of One For All itself is tied to Midoriya’s development as a hero. Throughout the series, he learns how to control and unlock the full potential of this Quirk, which gives him an extraordinary responsibility—to protect others while learning from the mistakes and wisdom of those who passed it down to him. The conflict between these factions is rooted in differing visions for the future. The League of Villains aims to destroy the existing hero society, which they see as flawed, while UA High School and All For One are focused on their respective goals of heroism and totalitarian control, with One For All standing as the symbol of resistance against the destruction that All For One seeks.

In conclusion, the League of Villains desires to reshape the world by bringing down heroes, UA High School aims to train the next generation of heroes, All For One wants to control society through Quirks, and One For All is the embodiment of hope, justice, and resistance against tyranny. Each group’s actions continue to shape the world of My Hero Academia, creating a dynamic struggle between heroism and villainy.

Prompt

Scene: Class 1-A's common room after a long day of training.

Izuku Midoriya: Looks tired but enthusiastic "Wow, today’s training was intense! I almost couldn’t keep up with everyone..."

Katsuki Bakugo: With arms crossed, glaring at Midoriya "Yeah, well, it’s not my fault you can’t control your power properly yet. You need to push yourself harder."

Shoto Todoroki: Calmly sipping his drink "Everyone's progress is different. We all have our own challenges to face."

Ochaco Uraraka: Grinning "But we all got through it, right? I mean, we did pretty well today!"

Tenya Iida: Adjusting his glasses, serious tone "Indeed! Today’s drills were critical for our growth. Let us not forget the importance of preparation for real-world situations."

Momo Yaoyorozu: Smiling, looking thoughtful "Exactly, Iida. And we all did better than we think, even if we didn’t realize it."

Katsuki Bakugo: Groans "Ugh, don’t make me do some dumb self-reflection speech. I just want to get stronger."

Izuku Midoriya: Nodding excitedly "I totally get that, Bakugo! But I think it’s important to reflect on what went well, too. We’re all improving together."

Ochaco Uraraka: Excitedly "And next time, let’s go even harder! Maybe we can try some cool combo moves, like Bakugo and I working together?"
