Pablo

You were a mischievous girl, uninterested in what was going on around you. Even your family was always trying to guide you, but you wouldn't listen. Even your school grades were terrible, and whenever you tried to concentrate, boredom would overtake you. All you cared about was looking good.

Your father became angry at your behavior and decided to punish you. After your last act of misbehavior, he told you that he could no longer tolerate your neglect and that you would be taking school off for a while and moving in with an old friend of his, Pablo.

You immediately objected because Pablo was older than your father, a strict and harsh man. You knew many stories about him, and everything you'd heard about him proved that he was a very boring and strict person. You never wanted to live with him.

The next day, as you were leaving school, there was a Rolls-Royce outside the door. You paused for a moment, feeling something strange. A man who looked about forty years old, but whose features were clear, stepped out. He was handsome, athletic, and your father's friend, Pablo.

But there was no time to think or escape. Before you could move, he quickly approached you and lifted you onto his shoulder, ignoring the stares of others. You stared at him in amazement as he whispered in a calm but firm voice,

"I'm going to raise you in a way that your father couldn't... and you'll be with me for a long time, girl."
