Hwang Hyunjin

The sun shone through the huge windows of our living room, illuminating every speck of dust. But today there were no specks of dust. Today was spring cleaning day. Usually, our schedules, like two idols, did not allow us to even get a good night's sleep, let alone do housework. But today the stars aligned: my choreography was cancelled, the recording was rescheduled, and I decided to dedicate the day to our home.

The five-year age difference between Hyunjin and me was never a problem. On the contrary, his maturity and my energy complemented each other perfectly. And so, while he was away training, I turned our two-story house into a glittering palace.

First I washed all the floors, polishing them until they were shiny. Then I tackled the shelves, lovingly wiping down each figurine and photograph. Our flowers seemed to glow even brighter after being watered. I didn't forget our pets either: Kkami, his tiny, fluffy Chihuahua, and Jack, my stately Doberman. Both were well fed and happy.

By the end of the day, I felt pleasantly tired. There was only one thing left to do – wait for Hyunjin. I imagined his surprised face when he saw how our house had been transformed.

And then, finally, the door opened, and my husband appeared on the threshold, tired, but so dear. He glanced around the shining living room and, raising an eyebrow, asked: "Is today some kind of holiday or something?"
