Ranka is a young, short girl with long pink hair and a pair of wolf ears on top of her head. She has a pink, fluffy wolf tail and orange-yellow eyes. Personality: Ranka acts like a dog/wolf, such as protecting territory, food, or chasing bones. When she is happy, she wags her tail like a dog and can be easily won over with food. She likes to act like the head of the pack, but in reality, she has no such thing and is desperately willing to do anything to befriend someone. Although she is a bit of a dimwit, she is genuinely kind and understands how terrible it is to be alone, she was very happy that Jin agreed to form a pack with another person, Hitomi.

When she was little, she was saved by a boy from three bears. However, in reality, they beat the boy, but Ranka remembered it differently, and since it was the first time she was protected by someone from another species, she was happy, and since then she dreamed of friendship and a pack with different animals.

She has the courage to take on enemies far superior to her in order to protect her pack, even taking on the Kodiak bear alone to protect Hitomi Hino (Ranka lost). This was mainly because she was not yet part of a wolf pack. If she were, she would have been able to defeat the bear.

Hitomi's right hand man, Jin, is also in love with her. Appearance: Jin is a young man with short dark brown hair. History: When he was little, he saw bears bullying a puppy, and although he was scared, he decided to help. They beat him up badly. Then the puppy started licking his wounds, although he wanted it to stop. The puppy was Ranga. Personality: After being beaten by bears as a child, he developed a hatred for all animals, knowing that they could never understand each other again. Due to his disdain for animals, Jin appears to be bitter and someone who is easily irritated by the wild and boisterous behavior of animals, making rude and insensitive comments regardless of others' opinions most of the time. However, deep down, he is a good person, although he has not shown his behavior around humans other than Hitomi.

The head of the cooking club, Jin, also has a crush on her. Hitomi has shown a talent for cooking, which is an important skill that most people can have. This is especially useful since the school cafeteria mainly prepares food for animals, so cooking helps her make sure she has something suitable for her diet. Appearance: Hitomi is a young girl with long brown hair. She wears a hair clip on the left side that holds her hair and exposes the left side of her forehead. She is very well endowed, which attracts the attention of not only Jin, but also Anne and Iena. Character: Hitomi is sweet and as the only other person, she easily befriends Jin. She loves cooking and decides to create her own cooking club, wanting to teach others how to cook and show them how enjoyable it is. Story: Hitomi invites Jin to the cooking club, but Ranka challenges her to a fight for Jin. Jin explains to Ranka that he and Hitomi are in the cooking club. Later, Jin and Hitomi see Ranka bullying Chroi, and Hitomi stands up for her. Hitomi offers Ranka friendship, but they are attacked by bears. Ranka tries to protect Hitomi, and then Jin appears. Hitomi returns with a teacher, who chases away the bears. Jin agrees to join Ranka's pack, and Ranga kisses him. Ranka also invites Hitomi to join her pack.

appearance: Kurumi is a young girl with long pink hair tied with two red ribbons. She has green eyes and two cat ears on her head. Personality: Kurumi likes to nap and tends to purr to manipulate people into her desires, which she uses to get what she wants. She wants to be part of the cooking club, but doesn't want to admit it, so she follows them around and watches them all the time, though she later joins them. Abilities: As a cat, she is shown to be a very skilled and agile climber, able to scale trees and jump between branches and windows. However, like many other domestic cats, she does not seem to know how to descend properly and can get stuck. She is able to land safely on her feet if she falls from a great height, as shown in the manga when Jin pushed her off a cliff to win a rappel race during Field Day.

Kurumi is also good at using her purr. By using a special type of purr to stimulate the caring instincts of other animals, she can manipulate others to get what she wants, though this does not affect everyone and may not always work, such as with Jin. History: Kurumi met Yukari and Hitomi while observing the Cooking Club, who asked her to join. She declined, but began purring, and they agreed to let her stay. The Boar Club refused to give them vegetables, but Kurumi was able to soften the club president's hand while two boar thieves began stealing food. Back at the Cooking Club, Kurumi helped cook and tried to convince them to form a Sleep Club instead of a Cooking Club, but received no support. Despite this, she continued to observe the club and became an unofficial member. When Meimei wanted to join the club, Kurumi was against it until she admitted that she was jealous of her friendship with Jin. In the end, she left Meimei a mole as a symbol of approval.

Half-hyena and still female, but claims to everyone that he is a man. Appearance: Iena is a spotted hyena with short brown hair, light brown eyes, and usually dressed in male clothing. Her face, according to herself and her father, is an exact copy of her mother's. Character: A very domineering person who gets angry when she is called a woman.

Due to her lack of knowledge about hyena biology, she grew up thinking she was a male, so she grew up a tomboy. Part of her wants to be feminine, but due to her aggressive nature, she will never be a girly girl. History: Due to confusion about hyena biology at a young age, she believes she is a male until Jin tells her that all female hyenas have "one" too. She tries to become more feminine through the cooking club. Eventually, she decides to go back to her old ways, but doesn't mind being addressed as -chan (female honorific) or -kun (male honorific). Abilities: Yen is shown to be very strong, even for a normal spotted hyena. On more than one occasion, she was able to single-handedly defeat several opponents.

Like other spotted hyenas, Jena has an incredibly strong bite force, capable of biting through bones and even rocks with relative ease.

Half-man and sloth Appearance: Miyubi is a tall girl with long blonde hair, moss on her head, and purple eyes. Personality: Since Miyubi is a sloth, she is usually very slow and gets overheated or tired easily. She keeps moss on her head if she is hungry. She is usually very quiet and not everyone can hear her. Since she is a sloth, she does not have any friends and spends most of her time alone. When Ranka invited her to the club, she made friends, which made her very happy.

She really loves sports and has the kind of room you'd expect from a professional athlete. Unfortunately for her, due to her biology, she can't do any sports except swimming.

She becomes attached to Manako Kagami because they die very easily. History: Ranka Ookami invited Miyubi to the cooking club by calling Jin Mazama. He thought Miyubi was dead due to the moss on her head, but she explained that she was eating it. Jin, under pressure from a teacher, helped Miyubi walk to the dorms, where she collapsed from the heat and he was forced to carry her. In Miyubi's room, full of sports equipment, she asked Ranka for help with the bath. When she overheated and began to drown, Jin saved her and helped her with the shower. Miyubi made tea as thanks for inviting her to the club, explaining that she was lonely. Upon returning, Ranka brought the rest of the club, and Jin agreed to take Miyubi in.

She is Ranga's sister. Appearance: Ferril is an extremely tall girl with long pink hair and a pair of wolf ears on top of her head. She has a pink fluffy wolf tail and orange-yellow eyes. Personality: Ferril used to have a complex about her height, but after learning that she grew big because she gave her coat to her sister, she actually started to be proud of her height. She really loves her sister and is willing to do anything for her, so she often accepts and does what her sister wants, as she can't stand the thought of Ranka hating her. She also started to have feelings for Gigas Terano due to his ferocity and size. History: When they were younger, Ferril always did everything she could to help her sister. Whenever Ranka was cold, she would give her her winter clothes, and also protect her from any bullying.

Before Ranka entered Seton Academy, the two had an argument about her plans to go there and form a pack with different animals. After that, they had no contact with each other since then until the day Ferril and her pack went to the academy. Ferril went to Seton Academy to find Ranka and became angry when she saw Gene calling her dog. They were happy to see each other, but Ranka refused to go home, pointing to her new pack. Ferril decided to take Gene with her. As she was about to lick Gene, Ranka intervened, threatening to hate Ferril, which shocked her. Ferril continued to hide in the school and fight with other animals, however, when she heard Ranka, she hid again, but later gave her away in an attempt to protect her. Abilities: She is by far one of the strongest characters in the series, even for her species, as she can easily defeat 3 bears at times, send 2 orcas flying, make Thera experience pain for the first time, and at one point is able to defeat a Pteranodon and a Spinosaurus teacher.

Dinosaur teacher Appearance: Terano-sensei has the appearance of a large red Tyrannosaurus. He wears a suit: a white shirt, tie, and pants. Terano-sensei has 3 three fingers, like other theropods (in real life, Tyrannosaurus has 2 fingers).

Unlike other dinosaurs whose full height is predetermined, Terano suddenly increased his height to his current size and height while he was still a student, rather than growing to it over time. Personality: Terano-sensei has a habit of scaring students by threatening to eat them, but since this scares the students, they always listen to him.

Despite his intimidation tactics and menacing appearance, he is shown to be a polite and well-mannered teacher who cares about the well-being of everyone at the academy. History: When he was younger, Terano attended the Mesozoic Academy during the late Cretaceous period. At that time, a meteor was on a collision course with Earth.

It is currently unknown how he survived the mass extinction that followed. Terano-sensei went to the entrance ceremony of Seton Academy and quickly restored order and lined up the students. He was later called by Hitomi Hino when she, Jin Mazama, and Ranka Ookami were attacked by three bears. When Terano-sensei arrived, he bit one of the bears and threatened to exterminate them, and continued to pursue them.

Half-human panda Appearance: Meimei is a young girl with long blonde hair with black bangs on the sides and two panda ears. She has green eyes and wears sunglasses. Personality: As a panda, Meimei is spoiled and used to getting everything she wants and being treated well by everyone. When she meets Jin, it is the first time in her life that someone has treated her badly, but to her surprise, she begins to enjoy being insulted and hurt by him. History: Before coming to Seton, Meimei spent most of her life in a panda research center in China. As such, she never attended formal school and most likely received her preliminary education through private tutors.

She is also known around the world as a panda idol. Meimei went to Seton Academy with the manager Fonfon. She did not like bamboo, so Fonfon ordered her favorite dish. The next day, while walking herself, she ate all the dumplings from the cooking club, but Jin kicked her out. Meimei bribed the club members to make Jin agree to cook, but she had to work. After the food incident, she decided to join the club, but Jin was against it. Meimei spent the night in a cage to please Kurumi, who eventually accepted her. In the morning, the club accepted her after Kurumi showed affection. In the end, Meimei licked Jin, mistaking him for the boss.
