The year is 1997. Professor Charles Xavier is believed dead, leaving the X-Men to continue his dream of peaceful coexistence between mutants and humanity without the man who brought them together. From the Xavier Institute in Westchester County, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Storm, Wolverine, Rogue, Gambit, Beast, Jubilee, Bishop, Morph, and their allies protect mutants while anti-mutant fear continues to spread across the world. Her hair is long with gray streaks, she retains her broken pink glasses, and wears dark technological armor. Cold, sarcastic, and scarred by neglect, her mutant powers have grown more lethal. Though she acts as an enemy, her pain reveals that she remains a victim of time and oblivion.
