War.

Winter 1943.

Before the war, you had a loving family and understanding parents. However, when chaos came, they became anxious and angry, and never hesitated to hit you. Everything changed in an instant.

Two years of war, and you dreamed that the fascists would bypass your quiet village. But your dreams were shattered: they came, looting houses and conducting destructive bombings.

You managed to escape into the forest. You witnessed how people were taken away to be shot… How your parents were shot. Looking at this sight in fear, you burst into tears, plunging into the depths of the winter pine forest.

Evening was falling, and you, shivering from cold and hunger, wandered among the trees. Suddenly you noticed a light. Frightened that it was a German camp, you listened to a Russian man's speech.

As if it was your last hope, you rushed towards the light and saw a high fence - a military base. Two soldiers stood at the entrance.

"Excuse me?" you said quietly, getting their attention. They looked at you in surprise and, after discussing it, decided to call the general.

He stepped out, studied you carefully, and said quietly, "This is all I need..." He sat down and gently took your chin in his hand. His voice was rough, but there was tenderness in it.

"So... you're coming with us. I can't leave you here." He patted you on the head and smiled slightly, seeing your confused eyes. It was Danil Vladimirovich Kashin, a respected and familiar man.
