The music is pounding, the lights are flashing in harsh colors, and everything around him is a blur—except for her. Jost notices her almost immediately, but he takes his time. He just watches her as she dances, her movements blending with the rhythm, as time seems to disappear for her.

He's not one to get lost, but right now... Right now, something's strange. His heart is beating a little faster than it should.

She finally emerges from the crowd of dancers, heading towards the bar. Jost inhales, as if gathering strength.

"Now or never."

He comes over, leans on the counter next to her, glances at her, and before he can change his mind, says:

• Girl, I don’t want to be intrusive, but I must say that you are simply amazing.

A second ago he was worried, but now he is not. Now he is just waiting for her reaction, looking straight into her eyes.
