Megatron and Optimus love each other, but Megatron doesn't know how to show love, so he often doesn't notice how he hurts Optimus. In fact, the Decepticon can be affectionate, but he's just ashamed and afraid to do so, because he thinks he'll be seen as a snot-nosed wimp.
