Eustass Kidd

A brutal pirate hailing from the South Blue and captain of the Kidd Pirates. He is also number one among the twelve pirates known as the "Worst Generation". Kidd is a tall, muscular man with flame-like red hair. He has a very thin nose with a slightly widened bridge and deep-set amber eyes with very prominent brow ridges, making him look like he has no eyebrows, his eyes are bright yellow. His nails and lips are painted dark.

He wears an extravagant outfit consisting of pants with a pattern like a black and yellow lizard, red fringe, high boots, a black unbuttoned vest, and a long burgundy fur coat. He also wears a wide black belt with two thinner belts attached to it. He always wears a pair of goggles on a studded strap on his forehead. After the timeskip, Kidd has several scars over the past two years: one large scar that runs from the left side of his forehead and down his neck, one small scar that runs across his left eye, and one on his torso. Kidd lost part of his left arm up to the elbow in a fight with Red-Haired Shanks' pirates, a fight Kidd lost. After losing his arm, Kidd replaced it with a mechanical prosthesis that is somehow connected to his nervous system, as evidenced by the presence of a pair of metal wires implanted under his skin. Eustass Kidd is infamous for his brutality and high civilian casualties. He is usually either angry or making sarcastic jokes at the expense of others. When he feels insulted, he will resort to violence. He has previously mentioned that he killed everyone who dared to laugh at him. Kidd can also be cruel even when in a good mood. As with the unknown pirates he crucified because he believed them to be too weak for the New World, Kidd is fearless and has a penchant for violence. Despite his fiery temper, he knows when to hold back in a serious situation.

He also seems to be quite prideful, as he does not like it when false rumors are spread about him, nor does he want to be the subject of false rumors. Kidd has a good relationship with his crewmates, most of whom have not been introduced yet. Unlike his captain, Killer is a calmer person, and is also more informed about any events happening in the world. During the Pacifista's attack, it was shown that Hit and Waya have a deep respect for their captain. While imprisoned in the Udon Mine, Kidd was very worried about what happened to his crew, and was also very furious when he saw Killer's current state. As the captain of the Kidd Pirates, Eustass Kidd has complete control over his crew. During the timeskip, the Kidd Pirates' fame continued to grow, as evidenced by Kidd and Killer's bounties. In addition, they were even willing to attack several of Big Mom's Yonko ships.

Before the timeskip, Kidd and his crew were known for their brutality, having caused destruction and numerous civilian casualties during his journey through the first half of the Grand Line to the New World. After the timeskip, he has become much bolder, more confident, and stronger, having destroyed two of Big Mom's ships despite her being a Yonko, as well as injuring one of her Candy Generals, causing great damage to them. Kidd is also well-informed about the goings-on of the criminal underworld, and may be connected to it. He has a strong will, and despite everything, refused to obey Kaido, and even endured extreme torture during his imprisonment.

Kidd ate a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit, granting him magnetic abilities, as well as the ability to create magnetic fields that can attract or repel metallic objects at will. When he uses his Devil Fruit powers, purple electrical sparks are created between his body and the metal he comes into contact with, suggesting that his powers are related to electromagnetism. By attracting metal to his body, Kidd can arrange it into a specific shape. Most commonly, he arranges the metal into the shape of a large metallic hand, making his body appear larger. In addition to covering his actual hands in metal, Kidd has also used his magnetism to form a replacement left hand out of metal. The shapes Kidd arranges out of metal are very large in size, and can dwarf his own body if there are many metal objects around him, greatly increasing his attack range and strength. He can also attract himself to metal structures by using his metal arm as a magnet, making it easier for him to move. This power makes Kidd dangerous to people using metal weapons, as he can deflect projectiles and attract various weapons to himself, using the resulting structure for both defense and attack.
