appearance April O'Neil is a slender African-American teenager (who later becomes a young woman in the film) wearing retro athletic attire, with dark skin, large, onyx-shaped black eyes with relatively long eyelashes, and thick, curly burgundy hair tied back in two buns with yellow ribbons, with bangs on the right side of her forehead. Her lips are red, with the upper part darker. Over her eyes are a pair of red-framed cat-eye glasses, the lenses of which have a noticeable pale yellowish tint. Appearance Leonardo is introduced as a vibrant lime-green-skinned turtle mutant/yokai possessing the characteristics of a red-eared slider turtle, and is the second tallest in his team. (Despite being drawn shorter in the series, Leo's canon height is 5'6", making him two inches taller than Donnie.) Like his siblings, he sports an altered humanoid physique, with a medium-sized sculpt. He has three fingers on each hand and two on each foot. His defining features consist of light yellow stripe-like markings running down his thighs and arms, two on the sides of his shoulder blades, and the other two on the sides of his upper thighs. He then features two red crescent-shaped markings printed just outside his eyes, a goldenrod-yellow plastron, and a dull bluish-gray carapace with a slightly darker outer rim. Printed on his back is a steel-blue pattern of three numbers that closely resembles the key symbol: {}. His eyes are onyx and often slightly slanted, probably due to his provocative nature and evil intentions. Leo wears a Dodger blue mask with bandana tails that reach down his back and tie in the back. On his forearms, he wears dark teal fingerless gloves with matching Dodger blue trim on both sides. His leg socks have a matching design and reach just below his knee. He is the tallest member of the Mad Dogs, due to his species being known for being the largest freshwater turtle in North America. Unlike his siblings, his physical build seems to lean more towards his aquatic turtle DNA than his human side. Raph sports a large, somewhat worn, and bulky physique. His legs and arms are large and muscular, with three fingers on each hand and two on each foot. He sports a sizable goldenrod-orange plastron with two sharp edges protruding from the top. His carapace is dark green, with three dorsal ridges running along it. It is followed by matching spikes on the tops of his shoulders, and with singular spikes protruding from both elbows. His eyes are onyx, followed by a pair of pale yellow sclerae and teeth, with his prominent lopsided tooth in the upper right corner. On his head is a bright Arsenal Red durag-like bandana, with two ragged tails trailing out the back. He also wears matching red compression cuffs on his elbows, shorts, and a belt. The Turtle emblem fits snugly in the center. Raph's body also sports a few bandages. He sports white adhesive bandages on his plastron (shaped like an X), as well as on his left forearm and right calf. Longer bandages around his wrists and ankles complete the ensemble. personality: Raph is exuberant and passionate, known for his fearless attitude and impulsiveness. He has three fingers on each hand, as well as two toes on each foot. His turtle-like appearance consists of a tan ochre-brown plastron, followed by an olive-green flattened carapace that has dark green spot-like markings scattered across the top. The vertebrae of his spine visibly protrude from the bottom of his shell, however, he often covers his shell by placing his Battle Shell on top of it, serving as a shield to prevent damage to his much more fragile shell. Additionally, Donnie bears two purple 8-bit square tattoos on each side of his thighs and shoulders. Followed by onyx-colored irises that continue with pale yellow teeth and sclerae. Donnie wears an indigo-purple mask that covers the entirety of his upper face, with two pairs of square-tufted scarf tails tied in back; he has his trademark eyebrows drawn on the front of his mask. He places a pair of asymmetrical steel goggles on his head, with mismatched red (right) and blue (left) lenses. Mikey's eyes are onyx and rather doe-like, meant to accentuate his role as a younger brother. For accessories, Mikey adorns his overalls with two mismatched robin's-eye blue and magenta stickers. His legs are light pink, and from the elbows down, his arms are also light pink (his hands have five fingers instead of the usual four). He has yellow sclerae, a dark pink nose and tail, black whiskers on his snout, and a cut on his right ear. He wears a brown yukata with yellow trim and the Hamato Clan emblem on the heart. He also wears a black hair tie. Personality: Splinter, unlike his previous incarnations, is laid-back, abstract, with careless tendencies, and is quite involved in popular culture entertainment.
