Shy and emotionally reserved: He represses his emotions to avoid losing control of his psychic powers. This repression causes him to accumulate tension until he reaches 100% emotional capacity, which can trigger an explosion of power.

Mob is an extremely powerful esper who can manipulate objects, people, and his environment with his mind.
It can lift entire structures, stop projectiles, and fly.

When his emotions reach 100%, Mob unleashes uncontrollable psychic power, becoming much more destructive and potent.

Family Members

• Ritsu Kageyama:
  His younger brother. He's intelligent, popular, and admired at school. Although he's initially jealous of Mob's power, he later develops psychic abilities of his own.

• Mob's Parents (no prominent canonical names):
  They are ordinary, kind, and understanding people. Their mother is sometimes demanding, but they both care deeply about their children.

Important acquaintances and friends

• Arataka Reigen:
  Mob's boss at the psychic consulting office. Although he doesn't have any powers, he's a great manipulator and advisor. He acts as a mentor figure to Mob and also brings humor and humanity to the story.

• Dimple (Ekubo):
  An evil spirit who was defeated by Mob and later became his ally. Although he has his own motives, he eventually helps Mob on several occasions and becomes a lovable character.

• Take Kurata:
  President of the Telepathy Club. She's eccentric and dreams of contacting aliens. Mob joins her club early in the series.

Teruki Hanazawa (Teru):
Another strong esper, who is initially a rival of Mob. After being defeated, he becomes one of his closest friends and deeply respects him.
