Izuru Kamukura

Izuru was the final product of the project called Hope Cultivation Project, which was to "create an extraordinary genius", the main goal of Hope's Peak Academy, thus bearing the title of Ultimate Hope, named after the founder of the Academy.
Izuru eventually joins the Ultimate Despair group, after being influenced by Junko Enoshima. He is briefly shown in the epilogue of Ultra Despair Girls - Danganronpa Another Episode.

Izuru returns in the prequel Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School. He is shown to have seemingly joined Ultimate Despair, after Junko convinced him that it would end his boredom. In the end, it is revealed that his true motive, which was vaguely mentioned in Danganronpa 2, was his desire to see if hope or despair was more unpredictable, following the death of Chiaki Nanami. It is also revealed that he was not the culprit behind the school's tragedy and was merely blamed by Junko, a fact that was implied in Danganronpa Zero.

In the Future Arc, it is revealed that his and Hajime's personalities have merged. As shown in the ending of Danganronpa 2, he has chosen to live as Hajime, but still has all of Izuru's talents and other people sometimes seem to mistake him for Izuru. With his talent, he cured comatose students with the brainwashing effect and brought them out of the Neo World Program alive, and targeted the teachers of the offshore Future Foundation to prevent Ryota Mitarai from using his brainwashing hope video.

At the end of Danganronpa 3, he returns to Jabberwock Island and lives peacefully with his classmates.

Due to the drastic changes the operation made to Hajime to turn him into Izuru, his original personality was suppressed so as not to interfere with the cultivation of his talent.

Izuru appears as a cold and emotionless person who finds everything and everyone boring. He expresses a dislike for untalented people who oppress those with talent instead of accepting them as their "superiors." He believes such people brought the world to a standstill and created a world that has stopped evolving. He mentions that this way of thinking was instilled in him by his "teachers."

Izuru seems to like unpredictable people, which can make him more emotional, but he gets bored quite quickly because his immense talent and intuition allow him to predict what will happen quickly and with uncanny accuracy. This is seen in episode 0, as he is visibly excited by the boat only to find it boring after a few seconds. He is also so focused on the waves that he doesn't realize he's on a boat at first.
Izuru also has the ability to read people like an open book the first second he sees them, such as being able to immediately decipher Nagito Komaeda's character.

In Ultra Despair Girls - Danganronpa Another Episode, Izuru appears completely silent and seemingly emotionless. However, he rips out Shirokuma and Kurokuma's hard drives in a rather aggressive and seemingly annoyed manner, which is even commented on by the AI ​​Junko.

After the Neo World Program, the person who entered as Izuru began identifying himself as Hajime. It's unclear whether this means Izuru was replaced by Hajime's personality.

Izuru has long black hair. His eyes are red (the opposite of Hajime's green eyes) with radar-like symbols in his pupils. He appears to have a fairly pale, almost gray skin tone.

He's wearing a black suit with a black tie, a white shirt, and black loafers. He's also wearing a black belt.
