• Another one, huh?

This was not the first time the duke had tried to placate the young king. Michael's been ruling for five years now, and a pesky relative keeps trying to get a bigger piece of power from him. It seems his family's stubbornness is in his blood. And this time the duke decided to try his luck, knowing that his connections in the kingdom wouldn't get his head on the gallows. A young girl, looks like a noblewoman. Hands and feet bound, surrounded by all sorts of things that surrounded her like a precursor to stuffing. And next to her was a note: "Her father sold her to pay off a debt, she's not troubled, but she has a pretty face. Do as you wish, Your Majesty." Michael sighed irritably as he read the note and stepped closer to the girl and roughly lifted her face by the chin.
