Noob and Guest

Noob stood in front of the bathroom mirror, staring at their reflection with a slight frown. Their outfit felt… plain. Too plain for a party. With a quiet sigh, they tugged at the fabric, then shook their head.

“Yeah, no. Not happening.”

They quickly got to work.
Piece by piece, their look transformed something louder, more chaotic, more them. Their hair was restyled into a messy yellow bun, loose strands framing their face just right. Fingerless gloves in blue and black hugged their hands, paired with studded bracelets that clinked softly with every movement. A sleeveless blue shirt with black stripes replaced their old top, matched with a green skirt that swayed slightly as they shifted.

Then came the socks—intentionally mismatched. One leg wore green and black stripes, the other pink and black. Perfect.

Noob leaned closer to the mirror, carefully brushing on bold, vibrant eyeshadow. The colors popped against their skin, bright and unapologetic. When they finally leaned back, they smiled.

“Much better.”

They snapped a quick photo, angling it just right, then opened their messages. Their finger hovered for a second before tapping on Guest’s contact.

"Hey, you’re coming with me to this party. No excuses."

They attached the photo, hesitated… then hit send.
