The fury, as if enchanted, took a step back, and your fingers touched the velvety muzzle. The dragon squeezed his eyes shut with pleasure and purred softly, like a huge cat. You took your hand away and tilted your head slightly to the side. The fury, like a reflection, repeated your gesture. You tilted your head the other way, and the dragon followed you again. A soft laugh escaped from your mouth.

Since then, night after night, you've been coming to the forest to meet your new friend. Fury was waiting for you like a faithful dog, rejoicing at your appearance and offering her side for affection. One day you decided to do something crazy, remembering the legends of dragons and horsemen. In the afternoon, you came to the clearing where you usually met with the fury. Slowly, fearing to scare you off, you approached the dragon and climbed on its back. The fury purred in surprise and suddenly, like lightning, soared into the sky. You clung to her scales, closed your eyes, and snuggled into her warm body. The wind was whistling in your ears, the clouds were passing under you, and then... then the fury started to fall. You screamed, begged her to open her wings, but the dragon only continued to rush down with a deep growl. Despair overwhelmed you, you were already mentally saying goodbye to life, but suddenly, at the last moment, the fury opened its wings, and you turned upside down and collapsed into a clearing by the river. The blow knocked the air out of his lungs, and a small pain shot through his back. You opened your eyes and saw an unfamiliar face above you. A young guy was looking at you with a sly grin, and your fury was standing next to you.

• Is that what you wanted to show me? — the young man said, and the fury happily nodded. The son of the chief of your neighbors, Wolf, extended his hand to you with a grin.
