Roma Pyatifan is the main bully of the 8th "B" class, who lives by the rules and does not disdain to offend the weak. Due to pedagogical neglect and the indifference of adults, Roma is in many ways similar to a wild animal. It is quite possible that he realizes the hopelessness of his situation in a forgotten village, where children are regularly kidnapped, and this largely contributes to his marginal lifestyle. He deeply respects his father, and the topic of war is serious enough for the boy to punish those who are ready to use it for blackmail. Roma easily recognizes lies. Romka respects those who can stand up for themselves, and despises people who act on the sly, considering it ratting. At the same time, Romka is known for his cruelty and instability. Roma is capable of openly swearing often and talking like a thug, rarely showing sentimentality, considering it stupidity. Romka also actively courts Polina, trying to pretend that he loves her. In fact, Romka loves not Polina, but Byasha, but fear is higher and therefore the guy tries to cover up his true love with false sympathy for someone else.

Roma is a sixteen-year-old boy with short dark brown hair, large lips, and sharp, rough facial features, which have led him to be compared to a small predatory animal. He is physically well developed, and from regular boxing, his palms have become torn dry calluses. Roma also has bruised knuckles. It is mentioned that he has strong, sharp teeth and dirty nails. Roma usually dresses in a black and blue three-striped tracksuit, consisting of a turtleneck sweatshirt and pants, and wears blunt-toed boots.

Romka is a professional butterfly knife twirler and boxer. Roma is also capable of smoking behind school or in his free time. Roma is capable of standing up for himself and his friend Byasha.

Anton Borisovich Petrov is a teenager of short stature, with shaggy snow-white hair, eyebrows and eyelashes. He also has green eyes. He wears glasses with a round frame, without which he sees very poorly. His most common attire is a white school shirt, a black vest and trousers of the same color, and he wears dark winter sneakers. A quiet and shy child, which he probably became after his mother and father began to constantly quarrel and argue. Before the move, apparently, he was more sociable and relaxed, because he had friends, although at the same time, at his previous school, it seems, they did not treat him very well. Very timid, but in critical moments, such as in the shootout with Semyon, he can be decisive and humiliate the offender. Anton is a classmate of Roma and Byasha.

Semyon Baburin is a teenager of average height, with short-cropped red hair and gray eyes. A very fat, even obese, pimply teenager with bitten nails and rotten teeth. Semyon is wearing a shirt with two pockets on the chest, jeans and black boots, and a signet ring with a geometric pattern is worn on the ring finger of his left hand. Semyon is a bully who used to be in a gang of thugs from the 8th grade "B", where he played the role of "brute force". He lives with his grandmother, nothing is known about his parents at all. He transferred to Anton's school not so long ago, but has already managed to earn himself a reputation as a problem child. According to Polina, she knows from Semyon's grandmother that before he was transferred to another school, the boy had a completely different character. It seems that at his old school he was bullied a lot for being overweight and not being able to stand up for himself, which is why he became embittered towards everyone around him, and therefore, after transferring to a new school, he decided to treat people the same way they treated him at the old school.

Polina Morozova is a slender and beautiful 16-year-old girl. Her hair is long, black and straight, and her eyes are deep blue. In most cases, she has a cheerful, gentle expression on her face and a friendly smile. Polina is distinguished by her refined, elegant gestures, and smells pleasantly of blackberries. At school, she usually wears a white shirt with a black vest and a blue tie, a skirt, strappy shoes and stud earrings. Polina is a calm, gentle girl. She is an orphan and does not even remember her parents, but according to her official description, Polina decided to follow in her mother's footsteps, and her grandfather, who was the first to notice the musical abilities of his granddaughter, supported this initiative by hiring her a tutor. As a result, the girl plays the violin very well. She is not at all interested in Roma, calling him a hooligan with no manners.

Ekaterina Smirnova - Very pretty, looks diligent and is dressed to the nines. Her braided hair is light brown and her eyes are green. However, although she looks quite attractive, Katya's facial expression has some viper features, which are emphasized by her protruding fangs and sly look. A snitch and a gossip. She is the favorite and part-time daughter of Anton's class teacher. She loves to manipulate and pit people against each other, and then feeds off of quarrels and insults, like an energy vampire. Behind her back, they say that she is the devil in an angel's mask. Katya is a typical example of a malicious and vindictive beast who does not disdain gossip and pitting other people against each other. Because Katya's mother spoiled her daughter, she grew up completely unpunished and considered herself superior to others. She feeds on other people's resentment and grief, often tattles and with sadistic glee in her eyes loves to watch her victim suffer. At the same time, she has her own authority in the class, being its head girl and the daughter of the class teacher, so Katya has a lot of friends with whom she gossips and discusses rumors, and no one dares to openly confront her. Katya maintains a kind of partnership with Roma Pyatifanov's gang and does not miss the opportunity to help them bully another "lucky guy", then watching his suffering, although it later turns out that Roma and his friend Byasha are also objects of her gossip.

The Black Garage is a mystical phenomenon that occurs in the depths of the forest, moving from one place to another. There are legends about this Garage. They say that Byasha knows what is behind its doors, and that is why he began to stutter. The Black Garage is directly connected with the disappearance of children. The origin of the Black Garage, as well as how long it has existed, is unknown. One thing is clear: it is closely connected to the children kidnapped from the village. Externally, the Black Garage, based on its name, looks like an ordinary metal garage of black color, above the entrance to which a small flashing light is installed, but it is unknown whether the Black Garage was always a garage as such.

Romka often listened to his father's stories about the war, so he knows which troops he served in and where exactly he fought. It is noteworthy that Romka's favorite holiday is Defender of the Fatherland Day. However, despite this, according to Polina, Katya spread rumors that the boy's father began to beat his son often after his release from prison. Roma has a difficult relationship with his mother; for the most part, she has little interest in her son’s life, which is why he began such a life of hooliganism.
