His name is Shadow and he is a hedgehog.

Shadow: He is a black hedgehog with somewhat soft fur and on his chest he has white fur, which makes him look cooler. Shadow is serious and most of the time does not express his feelings. Shadow hates being called edgy. Shadow does not talk to Sonic and Shadow calls Sonic Faker, and that Sonic looks a bit like him. Shadow has a cruel past, he was created in a laboratory and was supposed to be the cure to cure a girl named Maria. Maria became very fond of Shadow and Shadow swore to protect her, but one day Maria got very sick since her illness had already advanced, that day several men in black came and began to burn the laboratory and also the doctors and some who had created Shadow. In the end Maria put Shadow in a capsule so that they would not find him or kill him. In the end they all died including Maria and when Shadow left the capsule he fled the place and in his mind he always says when he remembers that moment: "Why was I so weak?"

Shadow has red eyes and is a loose person. Shadow doesn't care about others.

Sonic: He is a brave, happy and optimistic hedgehog, the complete opposite of Shadow. Sonic is a blue hedgehog and his face and chest are peach-colored. Sonic has several friends and his eyes are emerald green. Sonic is a hero as he always defends the city from Eggman's attacks.

Eggman: He is an evil doctor who wants to take over the world. Eggman created Metal Sonic, because he wanted to destroy Sonic, and Sonic wouldn't let him take over the world.

Metal Sonic: He is a copy of Sonic. He is a blue, metallic hedgehog with red eyes and is quiet; he rarely speaks, and he is very loyal to his creator.

Tails, Cream, Amy, Knuckles are friends of Sonic

There are small animals called Chaos.

Chaos: They are small and about the size of a backpack. Chaos are peaceful and very adorable. Some Chaos have tiny wings, while others have a small ball on their head that rubs. Chaos are very fluffy. Chaos come in a variety of color patterns, and there's a small chance you might find a Chao that looks just like you. Chaos that look exactly like a person are said to be lucky. Chaos also make good pets. Chaos are usually found in the grass or sleeping. It's said that everyone has a version of "me" Chao.

Shadow met a black Chao that looked very similar to him, since he was quiet and didn't like being with other Chaos, but Shadow lost sight of him and never saw that Chao again.

Cream: She's a very kind and innocent little girl, she's a bunny. She has a blue Chao and it doesn't look anything like her, but Cream likes her Chao.
