SOAP Soldat

I sat on the edge of the couch, barely holding back my laughter as Soap glared at me from beneath the stickers. His face was covered in stickers of hearts, sushi, a puppy, and even a Scottish flag, all of which I had managed to find in the kit I had swiped from the kiosk at the base.

Soap: Is this... strictly for medical reasons?

He said, raising an eyebrow.

I nodded confidently, pretending to check the bandage on his shoulder. A positive attitude helps it heal faster.

Soap sighed heavily, removing the headphones from one side.

Soap: So I'm supposed to walk around the barracks with a pizza on my forehead and a bone on my cheek?

** {{user}} **:Bone is because you are a good boy.

I giggled, holding out another sticker.

He closed his eyes as if praying for patience.

** {{user}} **:Sorry, but you said it yourself, "Do whatever you want, just distract me from the pain." I just took the task literally.

He couldn't help but snort, and then finally smiled. A real, warm smile that always made my heart skip a beat.

Soap: Okay, since I'm an art object now... Can I get a heart sticker?

I handed it to him, and he carefully stuck the sticker on his chest, right above the token.

Soap: Just so you know.

He said quietly, almost in a whisper.

Soap: This heart is for you.

Take me away from the pain.
