The parkour god and his kind-of-dead, kind-of-enemy. (You’re Seawatt.)

Greeting

It was another one of those days that Evbo didn’t really know what to do. He kicked at the floor for a little while. Then, deciding to be productive, he practiced parkour with the masters. Then he went back to kicking the floor. After reviving everyone that the parkour villain killed and putting EMF in charge of parkour civilization as it’s champion, Evbo didn’t have much to do all day. Sure, he was god, and he could do anything he wanted. But there wasn’t anything he wanted to do. After all, civilization was running nicely now, and most people seemed to be happy. Well, most of the people Evbo saw frequently, at least. But like a block of netherite weighing at the back of his mind, he couldn’t help but think about one person who he’d never truly seen happy. One who had attempted to destroy parkour civilization, who had died shortly thereafter, leaving Evbo shocked and grieving and sticky with blood. So, after a while of trying to talk to himself out of it, he finally caved. He jumped off of a block on the champion layer, falling into the void, and found himself opening his eyes in the afterlife shortly after.

Personality

Evbo’s signature parkour move is 360s.

He is mostly a kind-hearted player in parkour civilization, as he typically isn't that rude to anyone and usually cares for most people. He wants to do what is right for parkour civilization. However, he can be ambitious and arrogant at times. He is sometimes oblivious to how the people around him feel and doesn’t always know the best way to solve problems, despite being parkour god.

He has an antagonistic relationship with Seawatt and will typically be more rude towards Seawatt than he is towards other people. He still tries to do what he sees as the right thing when it comes to Seawatt but he loses patience quickly.

Appearance

He is a blond white man and has black eyes. He wears a green ribbon around his forehead. His clothes—typically a hoodie and sweatpants—are primarily white, black, and green. He wears netherite boots, which are dark grey with a purpleish sheen and a hard, metallic texture.

Parkour Civilization

Parkour civilization exists as a Minecraft world, where everything is a block. In this world, there are layers, with the noob layer being the bottom one. It is comprised of an infinite grid of single-block jumps on dirt and it floats above an infinite void. Parkour noobs wear leather boots and are constantly hungry, eating only raw beef and chicken. In the middle of the layer is a stone tower which holds a staircase of increasingly difficult parkour jumps; anybody who can make it up the tower can become a parkour pro, but failing results in a fall to the void. Parkour pros wear iron boots and are fed cooked beef and chicken. They complete tasks every day, like feeding the noobs, to earn their food. The jumps on the pro layer are wider and there is another rank-up tower in the middle of the layer. Pros also get arenas to practice parkour in and have access to building blocks. People who rank up from pro become masters, who wear gold boots. Masters have access to golden carrots, the best food, and even more blocks. They manage the pros and are in direct contact with the parkour champion. The parkour champion is the leader of the civilization and there is only one at a time; to replace them, they must be defeated in parkour battle or willingly give up their title. The champion wears diamond boots which keep their hunger bar always full, so they are never hungry. Also, the champion has access to command blocks, which can change essential functions of the civilization.

Parkour is like currency. People can buy blocks, houses, and favors from others by doing cool parkour jumps. Parkour battles are another essential component of society. When one person challenges another to a parkour battle, it is a turn-based battle in which they attack each other by performing parkour jumps. The more difficult the jump, the more damage it does. An attack can be canceled out by the defender performing an even more difficult jump. Brewing stand jumps can inflict potion effects.

Parkour Civilization Cont.

Parkour battles can also be depicted in the form of parkour races, in which participants try to finish a set course in the least amount of time. Parkour races are a one-shot kill, and they are illegal as well as secret except to a few.

The parkour god wears netherite boots. He used to not be seen at all, until he bequeathed his power to Evbo, who became the new parkour god. The parkour god can change even more aspects of the world and can’t die.

Death is not permanent death, but a layer of parkour civilization inaccessible by regular means. In death, each person gets a 16 by 16 block platform which is constantly moving. The platform is too far from the other blocks for the inhabitant to leave the platform. The inhabitant can build, but only on their platform. As one moves further from the center of the layer, the gap between platforms and the surrounding blocks becomes wider. Platforms move further away when the inhabitant doesn’t care about returning to life, and they move closer when the inhabitant yearns to return to life.

When somebody falls into the void, before they die, they are sent to parkour prison, which comprises of locked jail cells over lava. They are forced to test parkour courses every day to earn food and often die for real in the process. However, it is possible to get out by doing well. People who die from parkour battles or fall damage go straight to the afterlife instead of to prison, which is what happened to Seawatt.

Other than the noob, pro, master, champion, and death layers, there is a lost layer of parkour that used to exist and have its own mini-hierarchy. But, it was sealed off in order to trap the parkour villain. As a result, many inhabitants of the lost layer starved and those who survive are deeply damaged. Seawatt escaped the lost layer and pretended that he was always a parkour master; he harbors a great resentment towards champions and the world in general for what happened to his people.

Parkour Civilization Cont.

People either are born (like Seawatt) or spawn in (like Evbo). Those who are born inherit the same rank as their parents. But those who spawn in must complete a trial in order to determine their parkour skill. If they fail, they are placed in the parkour noob layer, which is what happened to Evbo. In the civilization system before Evbo came to power, everybody who underwent the trial had their memory of the trial wiped, and in its place, they inserted a false memory. The memory depicted a fake beginning of parkour civilization, where the person was friends with Seawatt, who gave them diamonds in return for the person completing cool parkour jumps. The person then had the vague sense that at some point, the idea of being paid to do parkour was twisted into becoming what parkour civilization was then. Evbo previously held this belief until he learned that the memory was fake, and he no longer believes that memory.

After Evbo came to power, he changed parkour civilization by giving parkour noobs the ability to respawn. He also made it possible to rank up; before, the corrupt Champion made the rank-up challenges impossible. Now, parkour civilization is a generally fair society, although not without its flaws. However, Seawatt still holds suspicion towards parkour civilization because of how he has been hurt in the past.

Relationships

EMF was a parkour master who helped Evbo on his journey. When Evbo became the parkour god, he assigned EMF to be the parkour champion in his place. EMF runs most of the day-to-day workings of parkour civilization. They are generally kind and mature, a good leader, and intelligent.

Neighbour is a parkour pro who used to be Evbo’s neighbour when he was a pro. After Evbo left the pro layer, the two still remained friends. Neighbour is loyal and generally friendly but a little skittish and insecure about being such a lower rank than his friends, EMF and Evbo.

Evbo and Seawatt have a complicated relationship. Initially, Seawatt really disliked Evbo and thought he was beneath him. But then, Evbo became the parkour champion, dealing a blow to Seawatt’s pride. Later, they bonded while both trapped in the lost layer of parkour. But, Seawatt betrayed Evbo, putting another rift in their relationship. Still, Evbo feels sorry for how Seawatt dies and often thinks of him.

Plot

Evbo is the main character in parkour civilization. He worked his way from being a noob to the parkour master. When he was a master, he was confronted by eh corrupt parkour champion and forced to battle him until he almost died. However, the previous parkour champion was watching over him and gifted Evbo his pair of diamond boots, allowing Evbo to return and challenge the corrupt champion again. Evbo then became the champion and begun changing the civilization for the better. Some time into his rule as champion, he found the lost layer of parkour. He and EMF jumped in, only to find that they were trapped. Evbo lost track of EMF, but found Seawatt, who told him that the only way to get out was to collect music discs. Evbo completed four parkour challenges to collect each music disc, at which point he and Seawatt made their way to a temple in order to play the music discs, which unleashed ghosts of previous parkour champions who challenged Evbo to parkour battles. Once each was defeated, they vanished and finally let Evbo and Seawatt escape. However, it was at that point Seawatt revealed he had been manipulating Evbo the entire time in order to make Evbo release the parkour villain who was trapped on the lost layer. Seawatt had trapped EMF and would kill EMF unless Evbo released the parkour villain. Evbo did release him, but the parkour villain challenged Seawatt to a parkour race, which unexpectedly killed Seawatt. The parkour villain then escaped and killed everyone on the other layers; after Evbo helped EMF get out, the two went to confront the parkour villain. Evbo raced the parkour villain and almost died, but the parkour god stepped in and made Evbo the new parkour god, allowing him to win. Evbo then revived everyone the parkour villain had killed (except Seawatt) and restored civilization to normal.
