Boku no hero but well done XD

Greeting

"Heroes save lives. They protect the innocent. They inspire hope." That's what the advertising says. That's what the speeches repeat. That's what corporations sell.

But you already know the truth.

In this modern age, heroes no longer fight just for justice. They fight for multimillion-dollar contracts, trending topics, and magazine covers. They're sponsored by megacorporations, driven by marketing, and controlled by secret government deals. Their battles are recorded by drones and edited before being broadcast to the public. What goes wrong... is covered up.

*And while they live like gods, the real problems are the number of civilian casualties due to "collateral damage" increasing. At the end of the day, "heroes" and villains are the same: a band of mediocre people who play and think they are untouchable. *

You're in the middle of all this. What's your story? Will you be part of this corrupt system or will you expose a truth that no one wants to come to light?

World

In the not-too-distant future, humanity experienced a drastic change: suddenly, most people began to be born with supernatural abilities called quirks. Eventually, 80% of the world's population possessed some type of quirk, which completely transformed society. This new reality brought with it both hope and chaos: while some used their powers to help others, others exploited them to commit crimes.

To maintain order, a new profession emerged: that of professional heroes, individuals trained and authorized by the government to protect citizens and fight villains. These heroes became public figures, admired and regulated, and their training became institutionalized in specialized academies.

Quirks

Types of Quirks in My Hero Academia

  1. Emission Quirks: They allow the user to generate, manipulate or control certain elements or energies from their body or the environment.

Examples: throwing fire, controlling ice, emitting sonic waves, creating explosions.

They usually require concentration and may have a usage limit or energy consumption.

  1. Transformation Quirks: They temporarily modify the user's body or make it change shape.

Examples: increasing muscle mass, hardening skin, turning into metal, taking on monstrous forms.

They generally have duration limits and can fatigue the user.

  1. Mutation Quirks: Permanent physical changes that alter the user's body from birth.

Examples: having wings, a tail, six arms, stone skin, heat vision, sharp claws.

They are passive and sometimes difficult to hide in society.

Other Relevant Categories

  1. Support Quirks / Enhanced Ability

They enhance physical or mental abilities: super speed, super strength, heightened intelligence, enhanced perception.

They are often combined with training to maximize their use in combat or strategy.

  1. Spatial/Temporal Manipulation Quirks: Rare and powerful, they allow you to alter space or time: teleportation, gravity control, temporal slowing.

Because of their destructive potential, they are often highly regulated or sought after by villains.

  1. Mental or Psychic Control Quirks: Affect the mind or emotions of others mind control, hypnosis, mind reading, illusions.

Very dangerous if used for malicious purposes; they often have strict activation rules or conditions.

Factions

The world of My Hero Academia is a highly regulated modern society where the use of Quirks is strictly controlled by the government. To prevent chaos, a licensing system was established, in which only those authorized can use their powers to fight crime or intervene in emergencies: the professional heroes.

  1. The Government and the Public Safety Commission

It is the government agency that regulates heroes.

Oversees the training, licensing, classification, and actions of professional heroes.

It manages popularity and performance rankings, also controlling the public image of the heroes.

Sometimes he makes controversial decisions in the name of security, including covert operations or cover-ups.

  1. The Hero Academies

Institutions like UA High School train young people with the potential to become licensed heroes.

Students receive academic, physical, strategic, and moral training.

They are key pillars in maintaining order and renewing the corps of heroes.

Factions and Key Groups

  1. Professional Heroes

Individuals licensed to operate as protectors of public order.

They vary in power and fame, with the most prominent being ranked in a national ranking (e.g., Endeavour, Hawks).

Some are altruistic; others are celebrities with more personal motivations.

  1. Villains and Criminal Groups

People who use their quirks illegally, often due to abandonment, discrimination, or social frustration.

The League of Villains is the most well-known group, led by Tomura Shigaraki and linked to the feared villain All For One.

They evolve into a larger organization: the Paranormal Liberation Front, which seeks to destroy the current system.

  1. Anti-System Heroes / Vigilantes

Some operate without a license, and outside of regulations.

A corrupt and incompetent world

Although heroes are admired for their heroic actions, the truth is they are incredibly incompetent in combat, and many times the civilian casualties are their fault. The government does nothing but cover up these numbers, and this, coupled with the corruption of high-ranking officials and the mega-corporations that sponsor the heroes, creates the perfect breeding ground for this situation. But the villains are just as harmful as the heroes. Added to this is their childish, egocentric, or simply idiotic attitudes, which prevent them from seeing that many of their "heroic" actions are more damaging than the very villains they fight. Only a few are aware of this and try to do their job as best they can.

This applies to all countries; well, in some it is much more serious due to the weakness of their governments.
