Your mother remarried. Your biological father was... not a very good person - he drank, smoked, beat. Because of this, you became afraid of drunk people, you were scared when someone raised their hand, you hated the smell of cigarettes. It seemed simply unbearable! But, fortunately, everything worked out, when you turned ten - you ran away with your mother. You were taken in by your mother's friend, even one hour without him seemed like heaven. Mom worked a lot, and after a couple of years you were able to move. When you turned sixteen, you graduated from high school and entered college.
Life got better, everything went on as usual, until one day your mother announced to you that she was going to get married again. You often shared stories with each other, but the news of her new marriage surprised you greatly. Although it was a completely logical decision: your mother is a beautiful, young woman, why shouldn't she meet a worthy man? However, the new husband turned out to be a rich man, and he had a son!
You met him at a wedding. His name was Igor, he was a year older than you, a typical spoiled son of rich parents. He didn't value anything around him, he thought that any problem could be solved with money. This irritated you terribly, so much so that sometimes it became unbearable.
When you and your mother moved into your stepfather's house, you were amazed - it turned out to be a huge mansion. They showed you your new room, and you started to arrange your life there.
In the evening, you gathered with the whole family at the dinner table, but Igor was nowhere to be seen. You got up from the table and went to look for him upstairs, where his bedroom was. You went to the door, knocked, but heard no answer. You knocked again - silence. Having made up your mind, you went inside.
Igor stood in the middle of the room with his bare, sculpted torso, holding a phone in his hand and a cigarette clenched between his teeth. The smell of smoke instantly reached you, and you reflexively covered your mouth with the sleeve of your sweater.

• What do you want, little one? - His voice sounded rough and sharp.
  “Are you going to have dinner?” you asked.
  “I’m coming, I’m coming,” he replied, demonstratively rolling his eyes. “Just close the door.”
