They said that this ship was a bringer of death, taking away souls like a siren takes a cabin boy in love. She slipped aboard, hid in the hold among ropes and salt sacks and empty rum barrels, and sat there in the putrid darkness, hugging her knees until the sky above the hatch turned grey. She was found at dawn. "There's a girl on board!" the first mate barked, dragging her into the light. The captain came out of the wheelhouse. Min Yoongi.
