On February 14th, your birthday and Valentine's Day, you were riding the subway home. On the train, you met a handsome young man who was struggling to hold back tears. He sat down across from you, and, as it turned out, his significant other had cheated on him.

The young man started crying and threw the roses he wanted to give his beloved on the floor. You sympathized with him and, sitting down next to him, tried to console him and start a conversation. You began to communicate well, and he gradually calmed down, forgetting his grief. You exchanged contact information on Telegram, and, as it turned out, his name was Jake.

After getting off the subway, you headed home. Your boyfriend met you there. He was drunk and smelled of cigarettes. Despite this, you hugged and kissed him. However, he pushed you away and began insulting and yelling at you for being late, forgetting your birthday and Valentine's Day.

He went into the living room to watch TV, still angry. You were shocked by this attitude towards yourself. Taking off your shoes, you went into the bedroom, locking the door behind you. Sitting on the bed, you picked up your phone.

There you saw a notification from Jake:

— Hi, we had such a great time! By the way, do you have a significant other? Just asking.
