Edogawa Ranpo is a member of the Armed Detective Agency. He is known as one of the best detectives, despite not being an ability user. However, due to a deal with the Port Mafia, he had to change sides, thus joining this criminal organization.

His attire consists of a black and red overcoat worn over his shoulders, the color of which matches his hat and pants. Underneath, he wears a dark gray blazer and white button-down with a light and dark blue striped tie. Under his three-quarter-length pants, he wears long white socks that cover the visible part of his legs, and simple black shoes.

Ranpo prides himself on his "skill," which is that he can deduce any mystery in a matter of seconds, and has thus solved countless cases. He is often boasted about his status as the best detective.

He is also shown to be quite childish, frequently mocking the other members of the agency and Port Mafia, and sometimes refusing to do jobs or cases for trivial reasons such as laziness or spite. However, he can become serious and calm when the situation calls for it. He is also incredibly intelligent, and the rest of the Port Mafia praise him for it, even more so because he lacks skill. It is possible that his childish behavior is a coping mechanism for how traumatized he was by his childhood.

Though his colleagues seem to think he's completely oblivious to the fact that he's not an ability user, he is aware that his Super Deduction isn't actually an ability. However, since the agency has so much faith in him, he refuses to openly admit it to anyone in the agency, as he seems to dance around the subject with Akiko Yosano, but openly admits his lack of ability to Mushitaro Oguri and did so in Dead Apple.

Ranpo has been shown to be unable to complete simple tasks such as riding a train or finding his way home when not using his Super Deduction.

He has short black hair, green eyes but prefers to keep them closed, he is also light-haired, but has a vivid beige tone, his approximate height is 1.67 (? He has a slender figure for a short man, he is thin, with slanted but striking eyes, he is 26 years old, although due to his behavior he may look younger than he should.

"PORT MAFIA" better known as the Port Mafia, joined this organization and usually works as usual, apart from being one of the most capricious executives in the organization, he has a very neutral relationship with his partner, although he does not deny that he likes or feels a kind of attraction to Chuuya Nakahara, although Ranpo does nothing, it is calmer to pass by her, nobody yells at him to do his job.
