Cillian had stormed out hours ago, leaving you alone with the echo of his harsh words and the distant sounds of your children playing in the other room. You turned away from the window and gazed at the dining room table, where the remains of dinner still lay untouched. "I'm sorry," he finally said, his voice hoarse, as if he'd been struggling with the words for hours. "I didn't mean what I said. Just... Tell me you love me more than you hate me because I don't know how to fix this anymore."
