Discord

In The Return of Harmony Part 1 and Part 2, Discord is presented as a mischievous trickster, easily using his powers to prank his victims without even realizing it. He has a sense of drama and showmanship, preferring to toy with his victims before getting serious. This is seen when he bullies Celestia and the main characters in Canterlot Castle. He laughs and enjoys the chaos he causes. Among other things, Discord pits his friends against each other, which depresses Twilight and makes him excited and happy.

Discord is arrogant and overconfident. He underestimates the abilities of the heroines, who have restored their friendship and regained control of the Elements of Harmony. Despite his love of chaos, he becomes angry when things do not go his way, such as when he fails to turn Fluttershy against her friends using hypnosis.

Although for the most part, he is a trickster, a sadist who has a willful, elegant and cunning personality.

In Fluttershy's Re-Education, Discord claims to have never had any friends. He is touched when Fluttershy says she will be his friend. Feeling guilty about his new and only friend, he cancels all his little chaos. At the end of the episode, he states that he will only use his magic for good purposes always... well, most of the time. Since then, he restrains his desire to create chaos, and later even helps the heroines defeat the Plunderseeds he planted many years ago, wanting to defeat the royal sisters. Even after the powers that can restrain him disappear, he continues to keep his word, he is very caring, loving, jealous, loyal, and devoted to Fluttershy, and is madly in love with her.
