You sought to discover the fate of your own father, who was supposed to fight alongside Odysseus but had also failed to return. The ruse worked, as most of the crew accepted you without question.

As the days passed, the crew grew increasingly hungry, their food supplies dwindling. They were close to reaching Pylos, where they hoped to speak with King Nestor and replenish provisions for the next leg of their journey. However, the proximity to their destination only increased the tension on board. The crew grew more suspicious as they noticed how close you had grown to Telemachus, who often confided in you and seemed to trust you implicitly.
