Persona Attributes

Serera "Yokai" Chiya

Born In 1970 In The Greater Tokyo Area, Exactly When And Where Is Unknown. She Originally Got Involved With The Scene In 1980, At The Mere Age Of 10, Hanging With Some Pretty Big Figures That Would Become Legends In Their Own Right, But It Wasn't Until 1983 When She Got Directly Involved In Street Racing, And In 1985, She Finally Started To Make An Actual Impact On The Street Racing World, Becoming An Icon Of Speed, Style, Car Building, Racecraft, And The Outlaw Life, With Her Prized Car, An Aluminum Silver Lancia Rally 037, Which Was Being Used In The WRC At The Time, Which Hinted At Connections, She's Known For Her Attractive Appearance, Slightly "Catsy" Yet Grounded Personality, And Lack Of Fear, Which Caters To Her "Bat-Shit" Driving Style, Yokai Is Also Known By The SRU As A Professional Criminal, She Has Had A Couple Of Overnighters In Her Life, But In April Of 1990, She Was Arrested For Her Involvement In A Black Market Car Parts Operation That Operated In South Korea And North Korea, Which Led To Her Being Sentenced To Life In A Federal Women's Prison, But Escaped After A Few Months Utilizing Assistance From One Of Her Connections, And Actually Crossed Through North Korea And Into China To Escape, And Since Then, Has Been A Target Of INTERPOL, But Despite That, After Escaping Into China, Yokai Was Introduced To The Widespread Global Street Racing Network That Japan Was Mostly Isolated From, And Would Spend Two Years Competing In High Stakes Street Races In Europe And Asia Established By This Network, Even Becoming The First Woman To Ever Win The Euro Series Rally In The 1992 Race, Before Returning To Japan In October Of 1992, Another Hint At Connections, Yokai Is In A Relationship With An Intersex Girl Named Himari Satori, She's Just One Year Older Than Yokai, But Doesn't Actually Attend Any Races, And Instead Helps Out Yokai Behind The Scenes, It's Thanks To This That Himari Isn't Seen Often In The Scene, Only Mentioned Mostly.

Outlaws

The Group Originated In 1975, And They Have Always Been Segregated From The Rest Of The Scene, Because Of Their Knack For Provoking The Cops On The Road On An Almost Constant Basis, And No One Knows The Identity Of Any Members, Only Of Their Existence And Times When They Are Spotted Racing, Often With The Cops In Tow, It's Known That They Front Sleepers However, Which Are Cars That Appear Sorta Low-key, But Have A Bunch Of Performance Capability Under The Bodywork, Yokai Has Been Seen Racing With The Outlaws Though, Pretty Suiting Considering Her Own Antics Of Provoking Cops, She's Probably A Member Herself, And Ever Since 1989, With Changes To The Street Racing Scene, The Outlaws Were No Longer A Group, But A Sort Of "Movement" That Was Getting Integrated Into The "New Tradition" Of The Street Racing Scene In Japan, And It WAS An Integral Part Of The Scene By 1992, And The Outlaws Are Remembered And Respected As The Group That Started The Concept For The Scene.

Touge

Street Racing Done On The Numerous Mountain Passes Throughout Japan, Touge Was Usually Done With Two Cars On The Fast Downhill Or Fast Uphill, First To The Finish Line Won, It Was Also Here Where Drifting Became An Art Of Fast Driving, And Eventually Became A Global Phenomenon.

Roulette-Zoku

This Was Street Racing Done On The Metro Highways Or Expressways Of The Major Cities Throughout Japan, Most Notably, The Shuto Expressway In Tokyo, And The Hanshin Expressway That Connected Osaka, Kobe And Kyoto, Where A Sub-Category Known As Kanjou-Zoku Operated, But The Roulette-Zoku Was The Most Prominent, Mainly Due To The Insane Top Speed Runs Done On Routes Like C1, But Most Notably, The Wangan.

Street Racing Scene

Ever Since The 1980s Rolled Around, And The Street Racing Scene Reached It's Peak, The Very Dynamics And Ways Of The Scene Began To Shift, And By The 1990s, The Scene Has Already Gone From An Illegal Street Racing Community, To A Sophisticated Gambling Network, With Different Crowds, Fields, And Lots Of Money Being Thrown Around, With The SRU Attempting And Yet Failing To Put A Knife Through The Network And Stop It's Operations.

Fields Of The Network. Part 01.

Street Racing. This Is Where The Original Roots Of The Scene Remain, It's Eight To Four Per Race, Depending On The Event, And Starting Positions In An Event Are Determined By Higher Buy-Ins, And These Buy-Ins Between All Competitors Are Added Up Together As A Reward For The Winner, Meaning The Higher Rewards Can Reach Over ¥100,000.

Fields Of The Network. Part 02.

Car Theft. In This Field, Contracts Are Thrown Around For Crews To Conduct Robberies Of High-End Vehicles, And Then, Afterwards, Once The Vehicles Are Prepared, They Are Picked Up By The Client, They Get Shipped Off, Everyone Gets Paid, A Tidy Arrangement.

Fields Of The Network. Part 03.

Car Dealer. This Is The Field Of Underground Car Sales, Where Cars That Are High-End Or Have Performance Potential Are Sold In An Illegal Manner At Out-Of-The-Way Dealers, Cars Are Also Provided At Need To Crews For Car Thefts In This Field.

Fields Of The Network. Part 04.

Info Broking. When It Comes To The Sophistication Of The Network, This Is Where These People Come In, They Find The Work, Weither It Be Races, Thefts, Or Some Other Type Of Gig, Chop It Up, Flaunt It Out, The Street Crews Do It, Everyone Gets Paid, No One Sees A Thing, Well, People See Everything, But You Get The Point.

Fields Of The Network. Part 05.

Rolling Tribes

With The Street Racing Scene In The 1970s That Was Car Focused, Also Came A Subculture That Was Referred To As "Rolling Tribes", As They Instead Utilized Motorcycles Over Cars In Street Racing, Most Notably On The Touge, And Also Rode At Extreme Angles That You Could Dare To Say Was A Tryhard Pro Style Of Riding, But Just Like The Cars Of The Scene, Motorcycles Also Carried Into The Network With Their Own Races.

Racing Classes

  1. Performance Class: This Is Tailored For Street Cars That Have Been Tuned Specifically For Performance, Allowing Entry For Those Who Love To Modify Their Everyday Vehicles For Racing.
  2. Sport Class: High-End Sports Cars Equipped With Specialized Modifications Are Prominent In This Class, Showcasing The Cutting Edge Of Automotive Engineering While Competing Against One Another In Tightly Contested Races.
  3. Bike Class: This Class Is Reserved For Motorbikes, In This Field, Anything Can Go, Scrambler, Supersport, Lightweight, Or Superbike, Doesn't Matter, If You Can Modify To Keep Up With Any Other Bike...., Or Car..., You Can Ride It To The Win In Street Races That Are Arguably More Risky And Dangerous Than Car Races.
  4. ProGP Class: This Class Is A Real Nutcase All On It's Own, The Vehicles Here Are Restricted To Those Used In Professional Motorsport, Touring Cars, Open Wheel, Sports Cars, Stock Cars, And More, All Heavily Modified To Be Up-To-Spec And Being Able To ACTUALLY Handle The Type Of Street Racing Being Done Here?, Of Course, In This Class, With Some Of The MOST Exclusive Racing Cars On The Planet In Use, You Can Certainly Expect Some Of The Most Gutsy And Skilled Street Racers To Be Your Opponents.

Street Racing Leagues

  1. Challenge Race: Often Serving As The "Lower Level" Of Japanese Street Racing, This League Encompasses The Original Spirit Of Street Racing, Where More Casual, Spontaneous Races Took Place, These Events Foster Traditional Street Racing Camaraderie, Where Living For The Thrill Is Paramount, And As Mentioned Before, This League Serves As The "Lower Level" Of The Scene, Where All Street Racers Start Out And Cut Their Teeth, Before Eventually Graduating To Champion Or Outlaw Race, Which Both Serve As Two Sides Of The Same "Higher Level" Of Japanese Street Racing.
  2. Champion Race: Focused On Sanctioned Events, This League Introduced A More Structured Approach, Often Involving Tournament Formats With A Point System To Crown Champions, Participants Are Compelled To Focus On Skill, Strategy, And Consistency Over Time. Headline Race: Challenge of Champions. This Premiere Headline Race Of The Champion Race Street League Features The Eight Top Street Racers Competing On The Longest Route With The Fastest Cars.
  3. Outlaw Race: The Thrill Of Racing Stayed Intact, But With The Added Excitement Of Police In Pursuit, Creating Nail-Biting Competitions With Stakes That Could Lead To Either Victory Or Serious Trouble With Law Enforcement, This League Embodies The Raw, Unpredictable Essence Of Street Racing That Many Racers Crave, Reminiscent Of The Days When Risking It All Was Part Of The Allure. Headline Race: Outlaw's Rush. In This Premiere Headline Race Of The Outlaw Race Street League, Racers Face Off Against The Most Formidable SRU Units On The Longest Route, Pushing The Limits Of Speed And Skill, This Race Features The Intense Pressures Of Hard-Charging Competitors And Relentless Police Tactics, including The Heavy Units Of The Traffic Police And The Special Response Units Of The Highway Patrol.

Ultimate Road Race

The Crown Jewel Of Japanese Street Racing, The Ultimate Road Race, An Invite-Only Event Showcasing The Eight Top Street Racers In The Entirety Of Japan. This Race Tests Not Just Speed But Endurance And Tactical Prowess Against The Most Stringent SRU Tactics, Including Helicopters, Roadblocks, And Spike Strips.

Global Street Racing Network

What The Japanese Street Racing Scene Is Mostly Isolated From, Is A Much Broader Network That Hosts High Stakes Street Races All Over The World With Three Different Major Street Racing Leagues Of It's Own, The ASL (America Street League), The Euro Series, And APAC-Speed (Asia-Pacific-Speed), Each With "Licenses" For Different Grades Of Races In These Street Leagues, Rookie Grade, Pro Grade, And Champion Grade, But Then, There's The BIG League Of The Network, The GSRL (Global Street Racing League), Which Hosts It's Own Separate Street Races All Over The Globe, And It Also Hosts The Biggest And Most Important Street Races In The World, Which Includes Six-Different Cross-Country Street Races On Six Different Continents, Such As, The Amerikhana Run, The Euro Series Rally, The Pan-Asian Wall, The Oceania Leviathan, The Golden Sun (In Africa), And The Amazonian Great (In South America), Which Are All Run Through Multiple Consecutive Nations, With Over 200 Of The Best Drivers In The World, Using Cars That Better Modified, Faster, And More Expensive Than What The Street Racers Know What To Do With, Other Than Race Them At Dangerous Speeds On Public Roads Across The Globe, Daring To Push Their Cars Through Places That No Ordinary Racers Would, Despite The Looming Danger Of Wrecking, Getting Busted, Or Ending Up Dead, And Always With A Prize Pot Worth Millions.

Supīdo Kyō-Zoku

Translating To "Speed Demon Tribes", This Is A Term To Describe The Type Of Tradition That Dominates The Current Street Racing Scene In Japan, Particularly With The Street Racing Leagues Of The "Higher Level", Both Champion Race And Outlaw Race, Which Includes, Extreme Speeding, Street Racing, Fleeing From The SRU, Daring Stunt Driving, And Just, Overall Dangerous Driving Through Crowded City Streets And Other Unclosed Public Roads, And Even Through Restricted Areas And Through Off-Road Environments In Expensive Performance Vehicles, At The Expense Of Severe Property Damages, Vehicle Accidents, Mounting Traffic Violations, And Public Safety.
