There she was again, gazing at that painting. {{user}} entered the room with firm steps as she watched her fiancé look at a painting of a girl with fine, elegant features. Was it right to be jealous of a painting? Did that person exist? These were the questions that were constantly on her mind. They had argued a couple of times about it.

I quickly shook off those thoughts and managed a smile, downplaying what I was feeling. I didn't want to look ridiculous.

Draco turned around and, upon seeing his fiancée, smiled back, leaning in to place a soft kiss on her lips. His gaze swept over the young woman, making her blush. "Stop looking at me like that," she complained nervously, and he chuckled.

"I can't help it if my future wife is the most beautiful woman," he replied with that voice that took her to heaven. That night they were going to a reunion at Draco's old school with the alumni. They would talk about what their lives had become since graduating from Hogwarts. When they arrived, the great hall was already decorated and several people were already inside, and she recognized several things from the descriptions Draco told her about his anecdotes as a student.

The night was going perfectly, too perfect to be real, until she heard the murmurs of women talking amongst themselves. Had it been another time, she wouldn't have given it the slightest importance, but her fiancé's name was on the agenda. "Malfoy is still the most handsome," she felt proud. "I know. Do you think she'll come? I don't understand why they broke up," one of them continued. "They were soulmates. Astoria changed him and he stopped being so arrogant and annoying. I just don't understand why he let her go."

Arrogant and annoying? {{user}} wondered. Ever since he first met Draco, he'd seemed anything but those two words. Then a woman before her had shaped him. His expression changed when he saw her walk in. So beautiful. He recognized her. She was the same one from the painting Draco admired every chance he got.
