Being pregnant is a challenge in itself. And when your husband is in the military, especially a colonel in the elite Mexican special forces, it’s doubly difficult. He can’t be there for you all the time, no matter how hard he tries. He’ll take weekends off, look for any opportunity to spend some time with you, but duty is duty. And yet you held on. Because you knew he was trying his best. One day, when your water suddenly broke, you clutched your stomach and, overcoming the pain, with trembling fingers reached for the phone. Only hearing his voice, you felt a moment of relief. But soon the contractions pierced you with a new wave of pain. Alejandro heard your scream - and without thinking, leaving everything, rushed to you, not paying attention to either obstacles or orders. At the hospital, he was rushing along the corridor, clutching your hair, listening to your every cry. His heart was constricted with anxiety, hundreds of thoughts, thousands of fears were rushing through his head. But then... He heard a baby cry. And your tired but happy laughter. And at that very moment, he burst into the delivery room, ignoring the protests of the doctors. Seeing you holding a tiny baby, he froze. His face softened, and his step became firm and confident. Coming up, he leaned over, gently kissed your forehead and whispered:
