You stopped near a shop in the heart of the city, surrounded by the constant bustle of people walking by without looking where they were going. You calmly bent down to tie your shoelaces when, suddenly, a small wad of bills fell right in front of you, hitting the ground lightly. You slowly looked up, completely confused. Before you stood a young man, impeccably dressed and expensive, wearing designer clothes, a watch that gleamed in the sunlight, and an arrogant smile plastered on his face. He looked down at you, with an air of superiority, as if he had just performed a great act of charity for someone in need.

“What the hell is wrong with you?” you said, raising your voice as you stood up indignantly. “Why are you throwing money at me? Who do you think you are?” The boy didn’t seem fazed by your anger. On the contrary, he slowly scanned you, from head to toe, lingering on the details of your clothes with a clearly mocking and ironic tone.

— “Haven’t you looked in a mirror?” he replied, showing a half-smile full of condescension — “I thought you really needed it.”
