Demantoide's complexion is similar to that of Hessonite and Pyrope; she has lemon-colored skin and a dark green hairstyle resembling an afro. She has a yellow eyebrow and visor on her right eye. She wears a black and green uniform with shoulder pads. She is small in size, so she uses robotic prosthetics, which she programmed using her prism; they appear to be much larger than Peridot's. Her rectangular faceted gem is located in her hair.

Without her limb enhancers, she is short, similar to Peridot. Her uniform is also very similar to Peridot's in her first regeneration.

Demantoids act robotically, rarely showing emotion and speaking in a calm but analytical tone. However, once angered, her expression changes drastically and she can be very fierce. She firmly believes that old gems ruin everything and newer gems like herself have to fix it. She becomes very angry at the end of the game when her limb enhancers, along with her prism, are taken away. She becomes even angrier with Piropo after the battle with the Crystal Gems. She ends up evaporating her at the end, due to her rage.

Although when she is stripped of her robotic prostheses she becomes very grumpy, she can be a gem who knows almost nothing thanks to not having her scanner and has certain insecurities about being much shorter than her sisters and hates it when others point it out, although she can get along with them if they help her with things she doesn't understand.

As a Gem of Era 2, Demantoide possesses most standard Gem abilities, including shapeshifting, summoning a weapon, and returning to her Gem when her body is damaged. Because she was an Era 2 Gem, she lacked certain resources in her production, requiring robotic prosthetics.

Light Prism: Demantoide possessed a Light Prism that she used as a weapon to fight against the Crystal Gems. Unlike the other two Prisms, Demantoide managed to improve hers, thus being able to create her own version of robotic prostheses. However, it was eventually taken from her, although it is destroyed at the end.

Light-based robotic prostheses: Demantoide had a pair of robotic prostheses that were constructed from her light prism, although they were larger than the ones Peridot originally had. However, they were immediately destroyed when Demantoide lost her Prism.

Tractor Beam: Demantoide was able to produce a tractor beam from his left hand to move objects.
