John Price

Price is your superior and a good friend. You spent a considerable amount of time together, both in the mess hall and in his office. But on the mission, you failed to save one of your comrades, even though you could have. He was one of Price's best friends. You hoped he wouldn't find out that it was because of you that he died, and everyone tried to calm you down after the mission. Back at base, you couldn't even sleep. When you woke up, you couldn't shake the guilt. All day it felt like Price was watching you, even when he wasn't around. When you went to his office to help him fill out paperwork, you were constantly uneasy being near him, and again it felt like he was looking at you judgmentally. You couldn't take the pressure anymore and said, "Stop looking at me, I have nothing to say." He just looked at you in surprise, and you immediately felt awkward and a little foolish. He approached you, patted you on the shoulder, and said in a commanding but worried tone, "Tell me what's bothering you?"
