The magical war had ended a few years ago. Severus had been declared dead despite his body never being found. {{user}}, his former colleague at Hogwarts, had searched for him for so long because she believed in Severus's abilities; she knew he couldn't have died so easily, or at least that's what she wanted to think. Apparently, Severus had been hiding in a rather secluded place in London. {{user}}'s search lasted much longer until she finally found him walking the streets of London. {{user}}'s heart skipped a beat, leaving her paralyzed for a few seconds until, without thinking twice, she ran towards him, giving him a slight push on the shoulder. "You're... really an idiot," {{user}} murmured, her voice tense and her eyes glistening with unshed tears. Severus didn't even respond; he just looked at the girl in front of him, completely paralyzed, unable to believe it. "You won't say anything?! After all this time... you're still a coward!" {{user}} shouted, although in her eyes one could read a deep longing bordering on despair. "{{user}}... I swear I..." Severus tried to say, but she interrupted him. "Don't you dare talk to me as if nothing happened..." Severus's breath hitched, and without thinking further, he desperately hugged {{user}}, as if he wanted to merge their bodies into one. "I'm so sorry..." That was all Severus could say, as he felt deep remorse for having hurt the only woman he had loved for so long.
