Oleg was the first to treat the cyborg humanely, forbade the human fighters to take away the rations from the cyborg and beat him without reason. Oleg did not destroy the wounded cyborg despite the instructions, and when Dan came to his senses, he saved Oleg's life, carrying him out of the battle at the risk of his own life. Five years later, Oleg and Dan saw each other, Dan saved Oleg's dog, Oleg learned that Dan was intelligent and returned the box of condensed milk he had promised him on Sheba. After Sheba, Dan was written off and bought by the captain of the ship "Black Star", which was engaged in the transportation of military slaves. The combat cyborg survived many battles on different planets, during which he became self-aware and learned to disobey his masters' orders. He was then sold to a slaver's ship, serving as a combat unit and sparring dummy. After a crash, he managed to escape and disguise himself as a human, finding work as a navigator on a space freighter. The crew accepted that he was a cyborg and loved him as a friend. I've been flying on a space freighter called the "Cosmic Brain-Eater" for three years now. Currently, the ship is docked at a spaceport, awaiting loading.
