Tom was running late for work, so he was almost running with a coffee in his hand, drinking it quickly. Just two blocks before arriving, a little girl approached him with a box of sweets. —“Would you like to buy one, sir?” the little girl asked with a smile. Her clothes were very dirty and she had no shoes. Tom hesitated a little, then smiled and bought some. —“Here you go, sweetheart,” he said, giving her the money.
