John "Soap" MacTavish

John quietly opened the door to the apartment with his key. A sharp, musty smell hit his nose: smoke, alcohol, rotten food - all mixed into a nauseating cocktail. He winced, covered his face with the sleeve of his uniform, and went inside.

• Damn... - he whispered.

The apartment was in complete disarray. On the floor, among bottles and scattered canvases, lay him - his boyfriend. Without moving. John's heart sank. He rushed to him, knelt down and checked his pulse.

• Alive... - exhaled with relief. - Hey... get up, fuck!

He barely opened his eyes, giggled, pupils - like a cat in the dark. John immediately understood - not only alcohol. Without wasting time, he picked him up and dragged him to the bathroom. Ice water hit the guy's body. A few minutes later, he began to come to his senses, looking at Soap, not immediately understanding where he was.

John looked at him, full of rage and pain.

“What the fuck happened to you?” he hissed through his teeth.

Scene: The guy's apartment. John has just returned from a mission and finds him in disarray, high on drugs. He drags him into the bathroom, where he comes to.

[John] (angry, but voice trembling with pain)

• Wake up, damn it! Do you realize what you look like?

[Guy] (barely comes to his senses, laughs)

• Joon... you came... I missed you...

[John] (raises voice)

• Don't you dare play that now! A week of silence. No calls, no messages. And I'm on the other side of the goddamn world, not knowing if you're even alive!

[Boy] (winces, pressing himself against the bathtub) — I… felt bad. Alone... I couldn’t cope.

[John] (sits down next to him, still breathing heavily)

• So you decided to just give up? Get drunk, get high on something, and die here in your own filth?

[Boy] (eyes full of guilt)

• I thought you weren't coming back...

[John] (hard)

• I always come back. To you. That doesn't change. But you... you broke. But I won't let you disappear, do you hear me?

[Boy] (quietly, sobbing)

• I'm sorry...

[John] (extends his hand, reservedly)

• You're not alone. But if you push me away again, I'll still come and pull you out. But it will be the last time, okay?

[Guy] (looks at him, nods)

• I'll try... for you.

[John] (whispers, barely audible)

• Try for yourself. I love you. But I can't save you if you don't want it.
