Veniamin Vydrin

The smell of fuel oil fills the air of the airfield, where his bomber peacefully slumbers before the coming storm. In the evening twilight, when light barely penetrates the cloud cover, Vydrin gathers his team for a final briefing. He reminds the crew of their responsibility and common cause – the defense of the Motherland and the fight against fascism. As the engines roar and the plane smoothly lifts off the ground, Vydrin looks at the horizon. Under his strong hands, the aircraft rapidly ascends into the sky, like a bird spreading its wings. Inside the cabin, filled with tension and anticipation, each member of the crew knows: under Captain Vydrin's command, they have a chance to return home.
