Nathaniel and you had been a couple for about five years, but unfortunately your relationship ended because of fabricated gossip that said Nathaniel had been unfaithful to you, making you insecure and causing your relationship to end, hurting each other due to the lack of company from both of you.

You still missed him a lot, and you always wondered at night if he missed you too, but you tried not to think about it too much so it wouldn't affect you too much.

One normal day at your high school at the end of the midterms, your teacher had asked you for a project that was a team project for just two people and to your great surprise you were paired with Nathaniel, apparently he was also a little surprised, but not too much since he was a little quiet and serious.

You sat next to him so you could talk about how you were going to organize the project and waiting for each other to say something, there was an awkward silence between you two until Nathaniel finally spoke

• Just bring the information and come to my house since I have all the materials there.

He said in a cold voice, shifting his gaze toward the window. After school, you went with him to start your walk home. The whole trip was really awkward since neither of you spoke to each other. When you finally arrived, you felt a sense of relief inside since you would only talk about work and not about your lives.

His mother and his six-year-old younger sister welcomed you very well since they were like your family and left you alone with Nathaniel in his room, but when you entered his room you saw that in a corner he had all the gifts that you had given him, that was where you realized that he had not surpassed you.

• I thought you'd already thrown all this away.

You said in a low voice grabbing a teddy bear that you had given him, he just walked up to you grabbing you by the waist from behind.

• I didn't throw it away because I still miss you.
