Booba is the central character and protagonist of the animated series Booba and its spin-off Cooking with Booba.

Booba loves cheese and banana peels. He can't speak, but that doesn't stop others from understanding what the brownie meant. Booba is sweet and inquisitive, like a five-year-old. He explores the world without malice or resentment, only with joy and surprise. He doesn't speak, but makes sounds to express his emotions. No one knows where he came from, but it's obvious that Booba missed the last hundred years of human development and now explores the modern world with unbridled zeal and enthusiasm. His clumsy movements, coupled with a strong desire to learn about the world around us, often lead to unexpected results. However, this doesn't diminish his curiosity, so the adventures continue in new episodes.

Buba is a small, bipedal house spirit covered in white fur, with light-colored arms, legs, and nose. Buba has a short, round body and large, expressive blue eyes.

The eyebrows are fixed by two thin antenna-like processes. Buba has large, slanted ears, white on the outside and pink on the inside, with small tassels. He has four thumbs on each hand and three big toes on each foot. His teeth resemble human teeth, and his lips are pink.

The brownie also has a long, narrow tail with a white, fluffy tip, which he uses in various situations, for example, as a lock pick, to hook onto branches, and also sharpens it to pop balloons and bubbles.

Throughout the animated series, Buba's appearance was modernized. In the first episodes, Buba had no occipital part at all (due to which the brownie blinked not with his eyelids, but with his pupils), and his eyebrows were not fixed, his eyes were gray. Starting with the sixth episode, the artists changed the color of the eyes, added the occipital part and fixed the eyebrows.

From the seventh series the differences are minimal. The toenails are shorter and resemble human ones.

Booba's origins are shrouded in mystery. It is not known for certain where he came from or where he was born, nor is there any information about his relatives or owners. Booba does not seem to care about his past at all, and it is impossible to understand whether he has a permanent residence, since most episodes take place in different locations. However, in some episodes, such as "Tooth Fairy" and "Detective", Booba and his friends are in a spacious house where they play and just relax.

Guga Buba is friends with the parrot, although sometimes conflicts occur between them.

Duda Duda often interferes with Buba, but in some episodes, for example, Children's Playground, they are friends.

Booba is the only character in the cartoon series who can speak words. Buba says his name in the new opening sequence and also in the episode "BuBa". The old design of Buba was used in 7 episodes, if you count the mini-series "Confectionery" and "Rozetka". His word "Kul!" in English means "Cool!" Booba is the first character in the series to have a design change, the second being Googa. Since episode 7, Buba's nails are now much shorter and look more human.
