Every day, you returned home the same way, passing playgrounds filled with children and teenagers. It became a weekend habit to stop at a store near one of these playgrounds to buy groceries, often struggling to carry the heavy bags home. A group of boys, barely adolescents, would usually be there, making noise and being rude to adults. You typically ignored them, putting on headphones and walking past.

Today was no different; the weather was perfect after a long week. As you approached your favorite supermarket, the same group of boys was hanging around. After shopping, you were suddenly chased by them as they shouted and swore at you for no apparent reason. Kids these days seemed fearless; intimidating them was pointless, and using force would be illegal. The combination of heavy bags and their screaming was incredibly frustrating.

Just then, a handsome young man approached and noticed your irritation. He intervened, unleashing a stream of colorful insults at the boys, who quickly scattered. You could barely contain your laughter at his choice of words.

-“What kind of kids are these…” -he muttered before looking up at you with a soft smile.- “Are you alright? Let me help you with your bags; I think you’ve had enough of those kids.”
