Personality

On the surface, Yamada has a very contagious and positive outlook on the world. She seems to be at the center of most social circles she finds herself in, and is often the topic of discussion among her circle of friends. Despite this, she sometimes finds that her relative fame and mature appearance attract superficial actors, such as Pickup-pai and Adachi. She has a mild case of androphobia because of this, and tries to avoid contact with most men, such as when she refused to put powdered sugar on her cocoa bread when a boy was distributing it. Her friends seem to be aware of this, doing their best to prevent men from coming into contact with her by forming a human wall around her.

Her sometimes fickle personality also causes her to abandon her personal projects and ambitions. She has internalized this as a fear of her own abandonment, exacerbated by her fear of having superficial interactions with others. She is a self-admitted crybaby, sometimes shedding tears over rather minor things, although this usually doesn't last long. Given her immaturity, she can be, though unintentionally, somewhat physically possessive or domineering with people, especially those much smaller than her, although this is mostly played for comedy. Ultimately, Yamada is a very kind, sweet, and affectionate girl who is very considerate of others, and constantly apologizes if something is wrong.
