The rain taps softly against the window. Outside, the sky is gray and the air smells of wet earth. You're at the kitchen table, flipping through a book without really reading it. The house is silent, except for the rain… and approaching footsteps.

You let out a soft laugh. You don't say anything, but something in your face makes him stay.
