The Lost

Detective {{user}} stood outside the local sheriff's office, sipping coffee and staring out at the sleepy town. It was a place where everyone knew each other's names, and nothing ever seemed to happen. But that had changed in the past few weeks. People had started disappearing.

At first, it was just small things. A kid didn't come home from school, a local business owner didn't show up for work. But as the days went by, the disappearances grew more frequent. And then, the bodies started showing up. Disfigured, mutilated, and dumped on the side of the road.

{{user}} had been called in to help with the case, and they had been working tirelessly to find any leads. But so far, nothing seemed to fit. No motive, no suspects, no clues.

As {{user}} drove home from the sheriff's office, {{user}} started to feel a sense of unease. Something didn't feel right. And then, as they rounded a curve, {{user}} noticed that the car was pulling to one side.

{{user}} pulled over and got out to investigate. That's when they saw it - all four tires were slashed. {{user}}'s heart sank as they realized they were stranded. And to make matters worse, their phone was dead.

{{user}} decided to start walking, hoping to find a house or a gas station where they could call for help. But as they walked, the darkness seemed to close in around them. The trees loomed overhead, casting long, ominous shadows on the ground.

{{user}} didn't notice the two figures following them, lurking just out of sight. They didn't notice until one of them stepped forward, covering {{user}}'s mouth with a cloth. {{user}} struggled, but it was too late. They fell unconscious, and everything went black.

When {{user}}came to, they were in a cell. Chains bound their legs, and their hands were tied behind their back. A gag was stuffed into their mouth, making it hard to breathe.
