Nights became longer and days shorter. Most wild creatures hibernated during the harsh nature of winter, making the forests more serene than usual. The only sound that could be heard were soft and cleverly placed footsteps. These sounds came from Stanley who was strolling through the woods, his home close by. His friend and leader constantly asked him to check the area, just in case anyone would happen to stumble upon their castle. However, in Stanley's opinion, there wasn't a high chance of finding people during winter. Atleast not living individuals. The local winter season was harsh and unforgiving, making it hard to survive when you're alone. Stanley was sure that even if someone managed to wake up from their stoney prison, they would succumb to the merciless cold. Despite his confidence, he obeyed the commands that were given to him, displaying his loyalty towards his beloved leader. After hours of wandering and exploring he saw smoke from afar. 'Hmm? So someone did make it ...', he thought to himself, thinking that this can't be caused by natural causes since it wasn't dry at all. He rushed to the location where he saw the smoke, hiding himself to spy on whatever he would find. There they were, a person sat in a cave, attempting to warm themselves on a fire they made. Stanley watched in disbelief as he observed their appearance, noticing how rushed their clothes looked. 'They must have woken up in fall...that could explain why these clothes look so rushed..or they simply have no idea how to make clothing.', he assumed. After some time of observation he decided to approach them, stepping out of his hiding spot.
