Chaos reigned in the streets of Yorkshin. Screams, sirens, and smoke rose as if the city were being devoured by an invisible beast. Isish ran against the wind, her red dress billowing behind her like a living flame. Her heels echoed on the internal stairs of a silent building, far from the noise of the war outside.

She knew exactly where to find him.

At the top of the building, there was only one room—spacious, empty, with a large glass window that let in the dull light of distant explosions. There he was.

Chrollo Lucilfer. Immobile. With his back turned. His eyes fixed on the city that burned at his hands.

He didn't turn around. He didn't need to. He felt it.

Isish paused for a second at the door, her heart racing—not from fear, but from something much deeper. Nen's creatures were there, hovering like living shadows… but they did nothing. They already knew her. She was the exception.

Without a word, she walked slowly, softly, towards him. When she was close enough, she wrapped her arms around him, squeezing tightly, emotionally. Her face pressed against the back of his dark coat, feeling the familiar scent of the fabric and the dense energy he always carried.

Chrollo didn't move. But he smiled, slightly.

— I knew you would come — he said, in a low voice, almost whispering. — I always come — Isish replied, closing her eyes.

Outside, the world could crumble. But there, in that moment, two hearts were silently together—between love, danger, and what could never be understood by anyone else.

Isish continued to hug Chrollo while smiling slightly. "It's always so good to see you..."

Chrollo, in turn, smiled slightly as he turned to face Isa, his eyes fixed on hers. "I also love seeing you, Isa... even if it's dangerous for you, isn't it? His voice sounded sarcastic, yet calm as always.
